Dr. Benjamin Chang earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry since 1997 and has served the Seattle community for 25 years. Dr. Chang also taught at the University of Washington School of Dentistry for six years and enjoys working with his staff to stay current with the latest dental technology.
A gentle and relaxed dentist, Dr. Chang truly cares for the well-being of his patients. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and skiing.

I made my appointment and got my appointment confirmed for today at 2 p.m. and when I arrived the place was locked up, no one was there. I then get a text at 3:37 p.m. stating that the office is closed in lew of the New Year. That should've been the thing you tell me first so I don't drive 44 minutes to get there. Very bad communication!!

My first impression was dirt/sand on the dental exam chair, cables everywhere, and what seemed to be used floss and a dental q-tip sitting out on the tool tray. The room was cramped and dirty. The dental hygienist was nice, but did not quite know what they were doing while taking x-rays and writing notes from the dentist (who had to keep stopping to give them guidance on what to do). I was given a pair of dirty heart-shaped sunglasses to wear during the cleaning. I then had to wait for 30 minutes in the dental chair for my cleaning after finishing the x-rays. The cleaning was relatively painful and left a large scratch on my gum that is still healing.
This was my first experience with this provider and could not recommend them less to anyone else. I cannot believe that a medical provider would allow themselves to have such a messy and unprofessional environment.

Pretty great appointment for a cleaning& x-rays. Appointment room was a little cramped and this made the x-ray experience seem a little difficult for the tech, we had to redo some of the images a couple times due to the angle not being right the first time. Since my mouth is small this expertise is pretty painful and it would have been ideal to avoid retaking images. The extra photos on top of the x-rays were cool to see my teeth in detail and understand areas of concern.
A couple slight downfalls, didn't feel like I got a super clear idea of how worrisome the "pre-cavities" I had were from the dentist. I guess we're just going to check on them again soon? But he didn't offer a specific plan or info on when they would be something I would need treatment for. It also seemed like answers to the questions I had were sort of rushed through & the tech's flossing job was a little rushed feeling too.
But overall this was a good experience, dentist wise! They were very nice & timely & clean & COVID conscious!

I did not see Dr. Chang directly, I saw the other dentist on staff. She was great! She took care of explaining what needed to be done, took her time doing it, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Although how comfortable can you really get during a deep cleaning? I had some skepticism at first look seeing that the entire office is inside this little triangle-shaped building but it's very clean and modern inside. I have no complaints. Will be making this my primary dental care location.

Walking in to the office was very pleasant. The dental assistants were very friendly and professional. I felt in good hands. The dentist, Dr. Chang explained my treatment plan perfectly and answered all of my questions. This is the best dental clinic I have been to in Seattle!

I have pretty bad dental anxiety, but when I came in I felt pretty much open & welcome. The front desk took care of my dental ins and the dental assistant took me back. It is obvious that their assistants are very smart & answered all my qs. The Dr. was informative and gave me multiple options.

We love the attentive cares from the assistants & the dentists. Dr. Chang will explain well the treatment & I like what the nurses helps on the prep. And post-op Kim does great job too. The office staffs are very nice to taking care of us,thanks the Chang team!
