About Dr. Benjamin Poenitsch
Dr. Ben is a strong believer in teamwork with his patients, answering questions and leading them through treatment step by step. His calm and very friendly demeanor makes patients comfortable throughout the process.
A Wind Lake, WI , native, Dr. Ben graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before going on to earn his dental degree magna cum laude from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he also served as class vice president.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ben enjoys staying active with hobbies like fishing, basketball, and playing a great deal of golf. He's a die-hard fan of his hometown teams—the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Brewers. And for dessert, there's nothing quite like a Kopp's "Turtle" Custard. If you see him at your local Kopp's, be sure to greet him!

I was running late, I call them to reschedule they told me , it’s ok i should just come . I drove 30 minutes for the receptionist to refuse to see me even though she literally told me to come late

My appointment was moved to an earlier time with no confirmation.
My appointment was originally at 2pm but then it was moved to 1pm. I show up at the office at 1:30 and their hours are posted on the door until 3pm but the door is locked. I stood outside for 10 minutes and called their number and kept knocking. Someone eventually answered but had no knowledge of my appointment. Then they said they saw it in their system and it said 1pm.
They also said they couldn’t do anything about it because they sent their dental hygienist home.
I’m confused- their hours are until 3pm and even if I was 30 minutes “late” to my “1pm” appointment, you close down and lock your doors? How does that make sense.
Maybe they are a great office, who knows, I just couldn’t believe how difficult all of this was for a dental cleaning on a Saturday afternoon. First time and last time going.
