About Dr. Betty Kuang
Dr. Betty Kuang’s goal is to provide quality dental care and help patients achieve a healthy smile. By listening to patients’ chief concerns and needs, she personalizes the treatment plan accordingly. Dr. Kuang believes that patient education is important and enjoys seeing patients improve their oral health through the years. Her patients often describe her as gentle, thorough, and kind.
Dr. Kuang grew up in San Francisco she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and then completed a General Practice Residency Program at Stony Brook University (SUNY) School of Dentistry. Afterwards, she returned to San Francisco and completed a post-graduate residency in Advanced Prosthodontics at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Besides private practice, Dr. Kuang is also a Professor at UCSF School of Dentistry.
Dr. Kuang keeps up to date with current dental techniques and materials through continuing education courses and is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American College of Prosthodontists.
In her spare time, Dr. Kuang enjoys spending time with family, trying new food, watching TV shows, and working out.

Wonderful dentist. I recently saw her for a chipped tooth, and although the nerve was sensitive, she proposed waiting as the nerve can calm down, and not require a root canal. She was able to remove the sharp edge without further traumatizing the tooth. It is already starting to feel better. I also love that during the regular cleanings, she doesn't propose lots of extra, unneeded services. Thank you !

Fantastic dentist. For over a decade I refused to go to dentists because of the bad experience I had in childhood, but all that has changed. Dr Kuang is very personable, cares about her patients, and her staff is always friendly. Highly recommend her.!

Very satisfied with the care I received. Everyone has been kind and wonderfully patient. Most importantly, I feel that the dentist is trustworthy. The dentist never pressured me and addressed any concerns. I never felt rushed and she made sure I was comfortable with the entire process. So pleased with the excellent communication and ease of making appointments online as well. So glad my sister referred me. I am so happy to finally find a great dentist that I can trust!

Pleasant visit. Thorough cleaning. The dentist explains everything that she sees and shows you magnified photos of your teeth and gums. She clearly describes problems that she finds and what she wants to do to help you fix them. Her staff is polite, kind and very friendly. I love it that I can watch tv while being treated. Highly recommend!

I was very grateful that they were able to see me the same day, after I called, when my tooth was hurting. They were very nice, took the necessary x-rays, and explained what was going on with my tooth. Answered all my questions, didn't rush, took their time with me. I would recommend Dr. Kuang to my family and friends.
