About Dr. Bhavik Patel
Having grown up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, there’s no place quite like home. My venture into dentistry began as an undergraduate student at Baylor University in Waco, TX. I decided to start shadowing my mentor and fell in love with it. I felt a natural fit in a profession that I was passionate about.
I completed my dental training in 2013 at Baylor College of Dentistry, one of the most esteemed dental schools in the world. Dentistry isn’t just a job for me – it’s my passion. There’s nothing more rewarding than putting a smile on my patient’s face. A smile can change not only the demeanor of a person but also their state of mind, and I’m fortunate to be a positive influence in this regard.
I took ownership of Active Dental Plano in October 2016. Being both an owner and the dentist has been very gratifying, and I take pride in attaining healthy, beautiful smiles for my patients. I’m grateful to a part of the Plano community, impacting lives in a positive manner.
Being an elite provider and providing world-class dental service has and always will be my goal. By taking Continuing Education courses and being up to date with technology, I’m able to provide exceptional care for all of my patients. With a team that shares my vision, we ensure that every patient receives outstanding service and feels right at home.
During my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, especially my wife and beautiful daughter Mila. I also love to workout and stay active. My hobbies include reading, traveling, and keeping up with Dallas sports. Go Mavs and Cowboys!

This team is amazing! Dr. Patel is very compassionate and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions and communicates very well. Karen, the hygienist, is gentle and thorough, and Julanar, the assistant, is so kind and reassuring. The entire team is professional, welcoming, and truly cares about their patients. I will be bringing my family here.

hands-down, the best dentist and dental office staff I've ever experienced in 50 years. I have a very complicated mouth very acidic saliva a lot of different problems with bridges and root canals, crowns and my TMJ
I've seen many many dentist in five different countries who had real issues getting my teeth fixed, but Dr. Patel and his staff are amazing.
They are not only made me feel great and we're confident made me feel comfortable but his expertise and hands still with his dental work is second to none. He's an amazing dentist.
I highly recommend this office. Hopefully you find them because you'll never go anywhere else. These guys are amazing for children and adults.

I was skeptical because of the distance, however, when I got there I was very pleased. The staff was very nice and friendly. I did notice there prices for certain procedures were not quite what I expected. However the dentist is someone I feel I can trust with my oral health. His team was very knowledgeable about everything I asked. The hygienist… I think he was one of the best parts of the visit for me. He was very thorough as well. I wish they had better finance options for individuals that can pay it out.
For anyone that has the money definitely get him on your team. I know he’s worth it.

Going to the dentist can be tough for some people but Dr. Patel has the ability to make you feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning. He is friendly, takes time to get to know you as a person, and makes each visit fulfilling. He is very skilled and the prices are quite affordable. The Cowboys may dissapoint but Dr. Patel never will.

I had an exceptional experience at Active Dental Plano! The entire team, from Suzette to my hygienist Kenneth and my dentist Dr. Bhavik were friendly and professional. They made me feel at ease. The office was clean and well-organized, and the team took me back right away. The care was better than anything I've experienced in the past. Dr. Bhavik took the time to explain everything clearly and answered al my questions.
The assistants, specifically Monica, were also efficient and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. I highly recommend this office and doctor. Thank you to the whole team!

I was dreading my appointment based on previous providers, but everything from booking to exam to exit and beyond was efficient, courteous and professional. This practice really has a solid electronic presence as well as great staff and a personal touch with patients. The doctor took the time to demonstrate and explain the problem areas and develop a treatment plan including prioritization of procedures in order to effectively schedule and make best use of my time. Impressive equipment and the clinic was clean and pleasantly decorated. Definitely will continue treatment here!

It can be challenging to pick a dentist you trust and have confidence in. Dr Patel is a standup guy. I've always felt he has my best interest, with his recommendations I am very confident he has the skills and education to perform the procedures. Best of all the staff and ease of scheduling and getting in and out on time!

I love active dental. They are kind, fully transparent and have great specials on cleanings. I was impressed with my first visit. The staff are inviting and understanding. I moved from Dallas to Plano. They were my first option. I recommend to all my loved ones. Thank you Dr Patel and his A-plus staff.

1st off gret customer service, everyone is great and made me feel very welcomed. I felt very comfortable and educated when it came to my teeth, due to all my questions and concerns being addressed in detail. My teeth cleaning was also amazing!! Will be back and bringing the whole fam!!

They are a breath of fresh air!! I have always loved going to get cleanings but they make the experience a whole lot better. I went to get black triangles fillings close my gaps on the bottom. I was very insecure about the gaps. Dr Patel changed my life and enhanced my confidence by doing an amazing job. I was so impressed! It was worth every penny and time! I didn't think it would be an emotional process but I cried after I saw my teeth. Thank you shoutout Dr Patel!

Dr Patel is amazing! I have a chipped front tooth & the filling kept falling out so I had to find a new place. Since coming here, it has not oned messed up!! They make you completely comfortable and go get to watch shows while work is being done which is relaxing. I know going to the dentist isn't the most fun and I am a scary cat but I never feel worried coming here. Highly recommend!
