About Dr. Brian Thomas

Dr. Brian W. Thomas is a highly trained orthodontist dedicated to providing advanced orthodontic care to the Tampa community. His passion for the field took root early while working in his older brother's orthodontic office, a deeply personal experience that drove him to pursue the highest standards of dental education. He went on to earn his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where his excellence was recognized with the American Association of Orthodontists Student Award and the Hinman Award for dental research. He further honed his general dentistry skills during a residency at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. Specializing in orthodontics, Dr. Thomas obtained his Orthodontic Certificate and Master of Science degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. There, he had the distinct privilege of training directly under Dr. Ronald H. Roth, one of the founders of modern orthodontics. Dr. Thomas is also a pioneer in local aligner therapy, proud to be one of the first orthodontists in Tampa to become Invisalign® certified. Dr. Thomas believes that education never truly ends. He dedicates two to three weeks every year to continuing education courses to master the latest techniques. Additionally, he has contributed to the advancement of the field by publishing research articles in two orthodontic journals.
