Dr. Llapur graduated from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de La Habana, in Havana, Cuba receiving his D.S. and later on attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, graduating Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. With such strong family roots in dentistry, Dr. Llapur makes it a point to treat every patient like they are part of his family, with compassion, honesty, professionalism and high standards of care. Having a private practice himself for over five years and previously practicing with our Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics office, Dr. Llapur has a gentle chairside manner and down to earth personality to ease any patient’s anxiety. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he engages with his patients, explaining treatment in detail, and is happy to answer any questions his patients have. Dr. Llapur takes pride in being active in the community, having worked with the Sayre Health Center treating the underserved community of West Philadelphia. In his free time Dr. Llapur plays tennis and golf and enjoys heading out to the movies. He is a member of the American Dental Association and often quotes “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.”
