About Dr. Carmeliza Dela Paz
I was born in Chicago, Illinois, but raised in Southeast Denver since 1974. I attended the University of Colorado, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998. With over two decades of experience in dentistry, I have learned the importance of fostering success in others so that they may see success in themselves. This philosophy is the cornerstone of my patient-centric approach to dentistry. I strive to provide my patients with a custom-tailored experience by listening to their clinical and emotional needs to create a safe and comfortable environment where they feel empowered to participate in their care. When I am not practicing dentistry, you can find me spending time with my husband, Michael, and our two sons, Dominic and Matteo. My family and I enjoy attending sporting events, going on road trips, and trying out the new restaurants that pop up around Denver

I am autistic and I have a severe phobia of dentists. My lady experiences at the dentist were at best miserable and at worst traumatizing. At dentist appointment I have been to in the past, at least one person was rude about my apprehension and the state of my teeth. I now need some pretty significant work done. This appointment was so different. Every single person that I encountered treated me with patience and kindness, they offered multiple times to let me take breaks when I was getting overwhelmed and they never once made me feel bad or embarrassed. While dental work is never fun, for the first time, I left the dentist having been treated with respect and dignity. I would 10/10 recommend this dentist, especially if you have sensory issues or trauma.

I haven’t been to the dentist in a bit, but they were very informative and friendly. They helped me with my jaw issues and were able to give me a referral for a specialist. Cam and Carmeliza were amazing as a team. I appreciate the friendliness and knowledge. Remember it’s TMD ??

I hadn't been to the dentist in a while, but Dr. D made me feel comfortable and clearly explained what she was doing and why. I felt like a priority and was very happy with the service. Unfortunately, I needed more work than I had hoped so she'll be seeing a lot more of me, but I'm happy to return.
