About Dr. Carolina Boege
Dr. Carolina A. Boege, DMD was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. While at USP, Dr. Carolina worked as an assistant in a variety of clinics, including general dentistry, pediatrics, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics and oral and maxillofacial. After graduating, Dr. Carolina decided to come to Chicago to pursue her career as a dentist in the US. While preparing to join the UIC program, she worked at Central DuPage Orthodontics and volunteered at the Chicago Dental Society clinic in Wheaton, IL.
In 2014, she joined the Advanced Standing DMD program at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and graduated with honors in 2016. Dr. Carolina was a recipient of the Alan C. Peterson scholarship and was nominated and chosen to be part of the OKU Honor Society. Dr. Carolina is a certified provider of Invisalign.
On her free time, Dr. Carolina enjoys spending time with her family, CrossFit, fitness and traveling.
Dr. Carolina is very excited to be part of the In Smyle Dental team and continuing her journey providing oral health education and improving the overall health of all her patients.
Dr. Carolina speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Great staff, clear communication throughout the procedures, and didn't push any procedures-- just options and food for thought if I wanted to consider some additional services (Invisalign) for the future. Will definitely return for my follow-up cleaning!

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a new dentist. They saw me right on time (actually a few minutes early I think), my appointment was straightforward and supportive, the dentist, hygienist, and everyone else were informative without being pushy or condescending. Also - they were able to fit me in for a cleaning even though it's not the service I signed up for.

Super friendly. Willing to work with your insurance. Will come up with a plan for your dental health and make every attempt to follow through.
I’ve had 5 fillings and an extraction here. The appointments were quick. Everything was explained to me. My comfort was always taken into account. There have been zero post procedure issues. Very professional. Extremely courteous. New patients even get small swag bags.

Really great experience. Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. For example, I was given a full tour of the dental office, explained what equipment & services were available, etc. Dr. Boege herself was really great; despite not having gone to the dentist in 16 years, I felt really well taken care of & not shamed about it. Overall, really happy with my visit & glad to finally have a dentist I can see regularly now.

Dr. Boege is the kind of doctor I like. She talks just enough to be friendly not overly. I like minimal conversation at first meeting so it was great that she did that. I also didn’t feel severe pain during the cleaning. I am very relaxed the entire time.

Loved the office environment and welcoming staff. the dental team was friendly, explained everything about the visit and insurance coverage and asked about my concerns and past dental experiences before getting started. Dr. Boege is very kind and great at educating patients about their teeth and any solutions/options available to improve your smile.

The staff at InSmyle are super helpful and friendly, and Dr Boege, for lack of better term, is an absolute sweetheart! She is very sharp and skilled at her job, while also being funny, relatable, and able to put the patient at ease. She goes out of her way to explain what she’s doing and why throughout and I never felt rushed, nor did she dart in and out to attend to other patients. I’m not a fan of going to the dentist but this was my first visit with her and look forward to working with her and this group.

Dr. Boege and dental hygienist Sandra were great! Sandra was very knowledgeable and thorough, and was genuine in her interest in my overall dental health. It seemed like In Smyle Dental did more preventative care than other dentists I've been too, and they definitely took every precaution in terms of Covid-19 safety measures. My time with Dr. Boege was only a handful of minutes, but she seemed very nice. The front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I have never in my entire life had the actual dentist clean my teeth and walk me through my X-rays before and I was so grateful for the chance. I learned so much about my teeth and felt very comforted having the dentist get to know me first as a new patient before having a dental hygienist do everything.
