“Searched Zocdoc for pediatric orthodontist to install retainer, however after cleaning and consult they advised they do not install retainers. This was a little misleading and resulted in the need for another consultative appointment, which is exactly what i was trying to avoid.
Aside from this, the service was as expected.”

Dr. Cecilia Carpio has a special connection with children. With gentleness, she provides quality health care for infants, children, adolescents and persons with special needs. Dr. Carpio is a second-generation dentist from Peru. After being awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, she furthered her studies, specializing in Endodontics at Cayetano Heredia University where she was also a Faculty Member.
Dr. Carpio continued her education in Birmingham, Alabama, earning her Pediatric Dental Certificate after completing a residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Children’s Hospital of Alabama. There she obtained extensive pediatric emergency and trauma training after serving as an on call Pediatric Dentist. She also received training at the Sparks Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders.
Dr. Carpio is fluent in English, Spanish and is trained in Sign Language for the hearing impaired. She stays on the forefront of Dentistry by being involved in numerous dental organizations. She also stays active in local community service events and has volunteered for dental mission trips. When not working, Dr. Carpio enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking and traveling.

Everything went smooth, the Dr. and staff clearly communicated to us what my Daughter needs and how the insurance works and coverage the needs, overall we had a good experience and highly recommended this clinic for kids and teens dental.

Dr. Carpio is a great doctor she is professional and knowledgeable. Her experience and patience gives me peace of mind, I’ve had bad experiences with other dentists and was a bit nervous at first about leaving the kids alone in the surgery room, but she was recommended by their pediatrician, and I do not regret my decision, she has taken care of my children for the last three years and I will not leave her even after having to drive 30 minutes for appointments. If you’re looking for a dentist to treat your kids/teens with compassion and professionalism please visit her, you will not regret it. Do not hesitate to leave them alone with in the treatment room, they will be in great hands. Thank you Dr. Carpio your are the best! ??

I specifically asked the assistant to let the dentist kniw that my child from the last time he had problems with swallowing. Not sure if the dentist was told but my children said she was rough with the cleaning and when they complained of. Being uncomfortable or in pain he was told don't gv her attitude and my daughter gums are are swollen. This is the second time.
