About Dr. Charles Wei
Dr. Charles Wei is a board-certified, surgically-trained prosthodontist: a dental specialist who provides comprehensive and top-notch oral health care to his patients. His trainings and experience give him the expertise to treat the most complex of dental conditions with crowns, bridges, veneers, and implants.
Dr. Wei received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University, where he graduated as an honors scholar. After completing the general practice residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, he trained at a highly selective prosthodontic specialty residency at West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and proudly served our country’s veterans. Dr. Wei further honed his dental implant surgery skills at Columbia University’s Implant Fellowship program under world-renowned Dr. Dennis Tarnow. Dr. Wei is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a committee chair member of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics.
Dr. Wei is also a dedicated dental educator; he served as the associate director of advanced education in general dentistry residency and an assistant professor at Columbia University. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania and teaches the next generation of prosthodontists. He is also a lecturer at Columbia University’s Implantology Continuum course, which is attended by doctors around the country.
Outside of private practice, Dr. Wei volunteers to provide essential dental care to the underserved in developing nations across the globe. He and his wife travel, whenever they can, to explore and experience different cultures. He also enjoys basketball, boxing, and scuba diving. Dr. Wei is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

came here because it’s closer to my place, about 10-15 mins commute. I was going to my primary dentist for years but decided to look for a new dentist. the staffs were nice and very welcoming. they got the updated technology when took an X-Ray of my teeth and after that dr. Wey went over with the explanation of what’s good and need to be done, with his explanation I had the better understanding with my missing teeth since at my other dentist I was never told that it’s important to replace missing teeth instead they said it will take years to shift and I shouldn’t be worry about it but dr. Wei was saying the opposite, literally said that it’s need to be done soon. overall it was all clear to me, I was recommended to get implant to fill the missing teeth. glad I came to this office. have another appointment coming soon. hopefully they’ll stay be good, waiting on the information about the implant price.

I visited a newly opened dental office for a cleaning and to address something stuck in my tooth. While the office was modern, the staff's professionalism was lacking.
The front desk had one friendly receptionist, but the other seemed inexperienced. In the exam room, the dental assistant struggled with basic tasks, left the door open during x-rays, and failed to follow hygiene protocols, such as reusing gloves after leaving the room.
The receptionist entered the room, made an inappropriate comment about my teeth, and stayed to chat with the assistant about Snapchat, using unprofessional language. The assistant admitted she lacked experience, which was unsettling.
Thankfully, the dentist was knowledgeable and efficient, but the unprofessional behavior of the staff overshadowed his work. While the office has potential, the staff needs training. I can’t recommend this place until improvements are made.

Dr. Wei is a dental specialist who cares about the best for his patients. He works at both Jersey City and Edison, and both of his offices are very nice in super convenient locations.

I just had my first cleaning at a new dentist, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were welcoming and professional. The dentist was thorough yet gentle, explaining each step of the process. The office was very clean and equipped with modern technology. I left with a bright smile I highly recommend this practice!
