About Dr. Christine Shehata
Dr. Christine Shehata received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry in 2011. She then completed a residency in General Practice at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, part of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Shehata graduated in the top 10% of her dental class and consistently made the dean’s list throughout her studies at UCLA.
Dr. Shehata has been serving the Greater Los Angeles Area since 2007, beginning as a volunteer in the dental field before becoming a practicing dentist. She is a well-rounded dentist who greatly enjoys her profession and truly strives to provide quality, gentle dental care to her patients. Committed to staying current with advances in dentistry, she regularly takes continuing education courses. Dr. Shehata is dedicated to building personal relationships with every patient, aiming to be their dentist for life and to provide them and their families with the quality dental care they deserve. She finds it incredibly rewarding to help individuals who have had negative dental experiences change their perspective and feel comfortable visiting her office.

This practice transitioned as the prior dentist retired. The prior dentist was a gem. Even when I moved, I traveled for my appts. With the new dentist, it is now your typical dental experience where you are being upsold and put on the spot. I canceled an appt due to being sick, then had anxiety about rescheduling. I finally made the appt to go in and was told by reception that since it had been a while, they would just be doing a cleaning. No call or message beforehand. I proceeded with my cleaning but made it clear I would not be returning. The hygienist was sympathetic, but not the dentist. I told the dentist I was leaving because of distance. She asked where I drove from, which is 30-45 minutes away. Her response: I have a patient who comes from further, a student. I am not a student. I am a mother of 2 who manages drop off, pick up, activities, and a FT job. As I was checking out the receptionist asked if I got fluoride, which I didn’t. She asked me to open my mouth to make sure.

great experience. i went in for teeth check up. the office staff did a teeth check up and advised recommended actions needed based on the check up. turns out i got a cavity on on of my teeth which is caught in time. i would not have noticed had i not went to this teeth check up.

Very helpful staff and awesome dentist. Tiffany called my insurance to clarify my coverage for me, and Dr. Shehata was very helpful in explaining everything I needed and then they we able to schedule my root canal with a specialist the next day.

My appointment was for 8:30 am, the office website stated that for new patients to show up 15 minutes early which I did, no one showed up until 8:30am. I was in my car to leave when the tech started walking towards the door, so I went back to the front door & it was unlocked I went in. Glad I stuck around, good people.

Dr. Shehata is very nice and personable. She explained allt he procedures to me and her benefits staff also gave me the rundown of what it would cost me after insurance covered the procedures. I wish they had an in-network Periodontist.
