“I had an excellent experience with Dr. Chukwuka Okafor, and the entire office staff. I came in with a toothache and was able to be evaluated and treated the very same day, which was such a relief. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff welcomed me warmly and quickly verified my insurance. After completing my paperwork, I was taken to the exam room right away.
Once the X-rays were done, Dr. Okafor came in to explain the results and proposed treatment plan. The assistant clearly went over all the options along with the costs. Everything was explained in a way that was easy to understand, which really put me at ease. During the procedure, both Dr. Okafor and the dental assistant consistently checked on my comfort level, and the assistant’s reassuring shoulder taps when I showed discomfort made a big difference.
The professionalism, compassion, and efficiency of the entire team truly stood out. I recommend this office to anyone looking for exceptional dental care.”

About Dr. Chukwuka Okafor
Looking after the people of Lawrenceville, GA, Dr. Chukwuka Okafor is available for consultations and follow-ups at Zona Dental. Being a dentist, he manages a myriad of dental procedures such as tooth extractions, Implants, laser dental treatments, gum surgeries, and fluoride treatments. Dr. Okafor is bilingual and speaks English as well as Spanish. His awareness of these languages makes him accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Following dental school at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, Dr. Okafor completed a residency in general dentistry at BronxCare/ Dr. Martin Luther king, Jr. Health Center. This residency provided Dr. Okafor with extensive training in surgical and implant dentistry and the management of medically complex patients.
Due to the substantial amount of implantology oral rehabilitation training ,Dr. Okafor became a recipient of a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2021. Recently Dr. Okafor has spent much of his free time working to incorporate the newest dental technology into Zona Dental’s daily routine.
He is extremely committed to continuing education with a focus on Invisalign/Clear Aligners, implant, aesthetic and comprehensive dentistry
Dr. Okafor is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, and the Georgia Dental Association.
Dr. Okafor has been recognized by his alma mater Georgia Southern University’s 40 under 40 Award.
Dr. Okafor looks forward to working with his patients to help provide preventative care education and practice healthy oral hygiene. He recognizes that many patients may not be completely comfortable with visiting a dentist. Hence, he endeavors to make dental visits a low-stress experience with minimal discomfort.
