About Dr. Claudio Urquiaga
Dr. Urquiaga was born and raised in Lima, Peru. He received his Bachelor Degree and D.D.S Degree in April of 1993, graduating with honors from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima, Peru. He opened his private practice in 1994 and in 1995 he joined his dental school as a Faculty Member. For 10 years he spent his time teaching and practicing dentistry in Peru. In 2004 Dr. Urquiaga came to USA and completed a 2 year program at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at the University of Maryland Dental School.
After graduation from his residency, he joined to UMB Dental School as a Full Time Faculty for 3 years. Dr. Urquiaga is now exclusively dedicated to private practice and enjoys practicing family and cosmetic dentistry. He brings almost 20 years of clinical experience. He has a gentle touch, especially at the time of anesthetizing his patients. He is not only highly educated and well - qualified, but he genuinely cares about each and every patient he sees.

Dr. Claudio is the BEST, as well as his staff. They were all so friendly and welcoming. He was extremely knowledgeable and very gentle and explained anything and everything in depth. He asked all my questions and fears about my teeth and made sure I felt safe about it all. I would recommend him 100 times over. The office was simple and nice and it was cool to find out he was expanding his business for more patients.

I had an exceptional experience at Smiles. Despite running 10 minutes late, the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly about it, making me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. The environment was warm and inviting, and the entire visit was straightforward and stress-free.
I was so relaxed during my appointment that I almost fell asleep! The team did a fantastic job making sure I was comfortable, and I even got a blanket and to watch HGTV for a bit while they worked. Highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a positive dental experience.

Dr. Urquiaga is an amazing dentist!! He is very knowledgeable, patient, communicative, and has a very calming bedside manner as he works. I used to be so anxious going to the dentist before I found Chantilly Smiles, but now I drive 45 minutes out of my way just to see him, he and his staff are really just that good!!

I dont think I have ever been so relaxed during a dentist appointment. Communication about cost and procedures was very clear, and everyone was very professional. Xrays, cleaning, and two fillings in less than an hour, and no unnecessary additional fees, without letting me know in advance. The doctor was personable and friendly. I will definitely be back, and I am recommending to my family and friends.

I got my dates mixed up & ended up at Dr. Claudio’s office one week before my actual appointment. Instead of being told I had the dates confused & turned away, the dental team didn’t miss a beat. Even though I did not technically have an appointment that day I was welcomed & seen right away. Dr. Claudio was extremely kind & knowledgeable! He informed my tongue ring I have had for years now is causing my gums to recede which no prior dentist had mentioned before despite regular visits. I had never heard of a tongue piercing causing that problem before seeing Dr. Claudio. I look forward to my next appointment with such a friendly efficient team & Doctor. Highly recommend!

My family and I have been pleased with Dr. Claudio professionalism, he answers all my questions and takes the time to explain me the pros and cons of the treatment and has lots of experience. It's always a pleasure to walk in to his office.
Dr. Claudio has an amazing assistant, her name is Wendy and she is fantastic!!!! she is extremely helpful and has a naturally lovely personality and they work very well together.
