About Dr. Corie Rowe

Dr. Corie Rowe's path to dentistry is unlike any other. Dentistry is, in his own words, his third career. Before graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, he worked as an environmental justice advocate, helping low-income Boston communities address self-identified environmental issues, and then as a network engineer servicing small and medium-sized businesses. The common thread running through all three careers? Being of service. That philosophy is the foundation of everything at Comfort Family Dental at 2036 W 95th Street in Beverly. Interestingly, Dr. Rowe never intended to become a dentist. In 1992, his mentor suggested it as a career path when he expressed a desire to work with science to help others. He dismissed it, largely due to a painful childhood dental experience in Jamaica. That personal history became the driving force behind his commitment to making dental care genuinely comfortable for every patient who walks through his door. Research & Community Commitment Dr. Rowe is the author of a peer-reviewed study on preventive dental treatments for young African-American children, published in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry. This reflects his deep commitment to oral health equity in underserved communities, a commitment he brings to his practice serving Beverly, Auburn Gresham, Morgan Park, and all of Chicago's South Side.
