Originally from Walpole, MA, Dr. Mandel majored in Biology at Wesleyan University. Dr. Mandel received her dental degree in 2002 from Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Mandel received the Gentle Dental award for Exceptional Chairside Manner. After Tufts, Dr. Mandel went on to complete a one year residency program for Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut Health Science Center. Dr. Mandel came to work with her father, Dr. John Mandel, in Norwood in 2003. The father daughter team continued to work together for 10 years until Dr. John Mandel's retirement in 2013. Dr. Mandel and her her husband, Dr. Matthew Ginsburg, reside in Boston with their two children.
Dr. Mandel is a member of several dental associations including the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Metropolitan District Dental Society Study Club. Dr. Mandel prides herself on providing the highest quality dental work and looks forward to meeting you soon.

Dr Mandel is simply an amazing dentist. She’s new to me, but I just couldn’t be happier that I chose her practice. She’s exceptional in dentistry while also compassionate and gentle handed. Dr. Mandel and her staff are incredible. Their care, patience, and expertise is like nothing I have seen with a dentist's office before. This is truly one of the best practices and I am writing all of this after just one visit. They impressed me from the very first visit.

Dana is capable, has a lovely personality and is very professional. She makes sure you've been numbed enough before she starts! I travel a long distance by car and ferry in order to see her and she always tries to do as much as she can in one visit so I don't have to travel so much. She is worth the long trip and I recommend her highly to anyone!

Dr. Dana is the best dentist I've ever met. She is punctual, professional, and genuinely cares for her patients. She always remembers what's going on in my life and is always able to make me feel calm and relaxed while sitting in her chair. I recommend Dr. Dana Mandel to anyone, especially anyone who may have anxiety related to dental work. She is the best!!!! Her secretary is also very friendly and accommodating. I would never go anywhere else!

Our family has been seeing Doctor Mandel for several years. After every visit we are impressed by her professionalism, the accuracy of her diagnoses, and her careful technique to minimize discomfort. On top of that, she is friendly with her patients, but in a business-like way that respects the schedules of all of her patients that are in the office at the same time. (Not like a chatty dentist I once went to that talked recipes with a patient while I sat in an examination chair for nearly an hour). I would recommend Dana in a heartbeat.

My visits have been absolutely fantastic! It's hard to believe I am actually saying that because I am so afraid of the dentists. But Dr. Mandel is the kindest and most calming doctor I have ever been to. She has a way about her that takes your fears away! And her staff is just as kind & sweet! Dr. Mandel and her assistant Kristina are so calm & patient and they always make sure the patient is comfortable. Karen, office manager is organized, kind, and always reminds me of my visits. I would recommend Dr. Mandel to anyone. :-)
