About Dr. Daniel Barayev

Dr. Daniel Barayev is a fully licensed and board certified general and cosmetic dentist. Dr. Barayev received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with honors from NYU College of Dentistry, graduating in the top percentage of his class. He had the honor of being inducted into the Omega Chapter of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Through his hard work and caring for his fellow colleagues and patients, Dr. Barayev was awarded Student of the Year in NYU College of Dentistry. After completing his technical education, Dr. Barayev accepted a position in a general practice residency program in St. Barnabas Hospital to give back to the community in a meaningful way. It was there that Dr. Barayev learned more methodologies of helping patients and broadened his educational horizons; he learned to compassionately treat patients in challenging dental situations through his rotations at the Odyssey House in upper Manhattan, Elmhurst hospital, and the Bronx throughout his various educational endeavors. During residency, he was awarded for Excellence in Oral Surgery. Dr. Barayev’s practice has a focus on providing the highest quality dentistry possible. Dr. Barayev often takes continuing education courses and has already amassed hundreds of continuing education hours in topics ranging from but not limited to cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, surgery, implant restoration, biomimetic restorations, orthodontics, sleep dentistry, etc. Besides practicing dentistry, Dr. Barayev enjoyed teaching tomorrow’s dentists as an adjunct clinical instructor at NYU College of Dentistry. He finds teaching his profession particularly rewarding. He is certified in providing Invisalign® Orthodontic therapy as well as Basic Life Support (BLS). When not teaching or working, Dr. Barayev enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing football, chess, and reading leisurely.
