Daniel Cohen, D.D.S., is the founder and primary dental care provider at True Dental Care. He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed training at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Daniel is certified as a general dentist. His approach is to put the person before the smile. He believes that if you serve people with thoughtful and gentle care, they develop a healthier relationship with their oral health.
He has undergone extensive training to provide all dental services, including tooth extractions, implants, root canal treatment, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He is a certified Digital Smile Designer, part of an elite group of advanced cosmetic dentists who use technology to deliver highly predictable smile makeover treatments. Unfortunately I never got the chance to see the doctor. They called me 30 minutes before my appointment to say that Zocdoc availability isn't aligned with actual availability and there were no appointments even though on the app it showed multiple appointments available for different doctors. This was an emergency situation so it was extremely frustrating.
Make sure to call them to find out if the appointment is actually available.

To be clear the dentist is wonderful. Saw him years ago at another practice before moving.
My experience - made a 9 am appt; so excited. Drive the 30 minutes from my house. At 8:58 the office calls me saying they see the appt but can’t figure out Zocdoc and it’s not available.
They tried to reschedule for later in the week. I was disappointed they are using a software they can’t get to work. I use this site to make my life easier; sadly I wasted an hour in driving.

First time going and I was very happy with my experience. The office is bright clean and spaced out. It seems very updated and modern. The physician was kind and knowledgeable. I was half hazardly looking for a dentist and was forced to find one because of an emergency with my son. Happy to say this location looks like a keeper.

I am the biggest baby when it comes to the dentist, and everyone here was so amazing! They were thorough and explained everything in detail. I did not feel rushed at all and you can tell they really care about your experience. I ended up seeing Dr. Zach who was great, and Kristen was amazing, gentle, and really made me feel at ease. She was so empathetic and even offered laughing gas for my next procedure because I have so much anxiety. Best experience I've ever had with any doctor/dentist.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting True Dental Care of Bloomfield for a routine dental cleaning as a new patient. It was a great experience from start to finish.
Everyone I met including the dental assistant, hygienist, and Dr. Cohen were all incredibly professional and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain each step of the process, and the cleaning itself was thorough yet gentle.
I was truly impressed by the attention to detail and the level of care provided by the entire staff. The office itself is very nice and clean. Also, the TVs over the dental chair are a nice touch.
I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a positive dental experience and will bring my family back as well!

I will start with the good. The dentist was very nice, professional and overall did a good job. The bad is that I had to wait almost 2 hours to be seen. I got in there a little before 4 pm and didn't get out until 3 hours later. All i got done was a simple filling. I had fillings done before and nowhere does it that long. They had me sitting in the dental chair for nearly 1.5 hours before the dentist came in to even talk to me. I was told he had an emergency root canal. I think they double booked or did not give the dentist enough time to finish that appointment. Luckily i didn't have anywhere to be but if i did this would have been a major issue. People's time is valuable and appointments should be respected. I would not be returning to this practice if the staff was not so nice. The dentist apologized and did his best so I do believe he is worth another chance. But if i have 1 more experience like this I will be getting my dental work done elsewhere.

Dr. Dan was absolutely amazing. He was explained everything in detail, and at a pace I could understand and keep up with. He asked clarifying questions and checked in with me constantly to make sure I was ok and still on the same page.
I also saw Michelle the Hygienist. She was also amazing! gentle hands and reassuring every step of the way.
As a person who suffers from anxiety and dental trauma I would recommend them to anyone who feels hopeless in finding great care that isn't scary. I felt seen and heard the entire time, can't stress enough how unbelievable the experience was.
The office was impeccably clean. Ingrid the front desk person who helped me with billing and booking appointments was also spot on, listened and guided me through everything. I am so happy to have found them.

Amazing first visit with Dr Daniel Cohen. Office was clean, new, and very high tech. Staff was super friendly, and Dr Cohen himself was very friendly as well but also informative.
Other Standout callouts:
Was able to watch Netflix while having my teeth cleaned, offered water, was able to see new high tech visuals and data of my teeth to better visualize what needed to be fixed.
Barely waited for my appointment maybe just around 10 minutes or less.
Overall the experience was like flying first class if I could compare the services. 10/10
