About Dr. Daniel Kim

Daniel Kim, DDS, MS Dr. Daniel Kim grew up in Long Island, NY and has been a New Yorker all his life. He attended Columbia College, Columbia University where he majored in Neuroscience and Behavior and graduated with honors. Attaining a love for dentistry through his father who is a general dentist, Dr. Kim continued his education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and was awarded the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-Facial Complex. In order to gain more training in all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Kim completed an extensive one-year General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. He then went on to pursue a specialty in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, during which he also served as part of the team in the Center for Skeletal Dysplasias at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and received the Dr. Thomas Cangialosi award in recognition for clinical excellence. Dr. Kim is an active member of the American Dental Association as well as the American Association of Orthodontists, and currently teaches as part-time clinical faculty at Columbia University's Department of Orthodontics. Dr. Kim currently resides in Manhattan with his wife Chihee. In his free time, he loves spending time with family and friends (especially his dog Munjee), traveling, and trying out new HIIT classes in NYC. He loves what he does for a living and strives to not only deliver the highest level of care, but also to build unique and impressionable relations with all of his patients.
