About Dr. Daniel Kuncio
Dr. Kuncio is a dedicated clinician and former attending orthodontist/assistant professor at both Bronx Lebanon Hospital/Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the State University of New York, Buffalo, and completed his Residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center. He is passionate about beautifying your smile and bettering your health-for now and well into the future.
Dr. Kuncio's approach to orthodontics is guided by a simple yet crucial principle: nature comes first. Using this conservative approach, Dr. Kuncio doesn't extract teeth or perform surgery-unless absolutely necessary. Dr. Kuncio and his wonder staff made my invisalign process a delightful one. The equipment is top of the line, the office very cheerful and very clean . He communicated the procedures step by step and did so with gentle care.
I have great appreciation for this practice and highly recommend Dr. Kuncio.

Our son was treated by Dr. Kuncio for 2 years and we could not be happier. The case was so complicated that several other orthodontists did not want to do it. We were a little nervous since we found Dr. Kuncio online, but we were so impressed with his credentials (publications, teaching, etc.) that we decided to meet with him. It was truly one of the best decisions we've ever made - from the initial consultation through the removal of the braces, Dr. Kuncio and his staff were the epitome of what you expect from a boutique Manhattan orthodontic practice. Dr. Kuncio and his staff were amazing! He took time to go over every treatment option in detail with me explaining what would be best for my specific case. Well worth the time and money spent in the office based on his professionalism, level of expertise and various treatment options! Highly recommend to anyone who is considering orthodontic treatment!

It was quite pricey for a not even 15 min consultation which provided nothing more than 2 options to choose from and a cost estimate which was 50% higher than quotes I received from other dentists.

I only had a consult so I can only recommend Dr. Kuncio on his patience, the time and care with which he explained all my options, and the kind and helpful office staff- all of which were above average. After my consult, my anxiety about my teeth has lessened considerably, and I look forward to starting my treatment plan.
