He's friendly and very kind flexible with pt's schedule and worked around my big events. Dr. Markel took over and was very kind and knowledgeable as well. Great bedside manner, explained complicated terms in laymen's terms.”

About Dr. Daniel Markel
Dr. Daniel Markel is a Board Certified Orthodontist dedicated to creating beautiful, healthy smiles for both children and adults. As President-Elect of the regional orthodontic society and an active member of an elite network of dental specialists (Spear Education), he is a recognized leader committed to the highest standard of collaborative, modern care.
He earned his BS from Villanova University and his DMD from Temple University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He completed his orthodontic residency and Master’s in Oral Health Sciences at Temple, and was nationally recognized as a finalist for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics Student of the Year.
Dr. Markel believes in a "Listen First" approach, taking time to understand each patient’s unique goals. He is a highly specialized expert in Invisalign and clear aligner therapy, having successfully treated many cases and completed hundreds of continuing education hours through rigorous advanced fellowships. His absolute favorite part of the job is "Debond Day"—when a patient sees their new smile for the first time and feels an immediate, authentic boost of confidence.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Markel enjoys exploring Philadelphia’s "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants, acting as the "neighborhood travel agent" for friends and family, and walking around the city. A former two-time National Championship finalist in Latin ballroom dance, his passion for coaching and helping students grow perfectly translates into guiding his patients' smile transformations. As a first-generation American from a Ukrainian family, he is fluent in Russian and deeply appreciates Eastern European culture.
