About Dr. Daniel Stewart
Dr. Daniel Stewart founded Smile Savers Dentistry in Columbia, Maryland after graduating from the University of Maryland with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989. His mission was to build a one-of-a-kind dental practice—one dedicated to high-quality and personalized patient care. Dr. Stewart’s persistence in meeting these goals is part of what makes him the best dentist in Columbia, MD.
When designing the office, Dr. Stewart ensured the environment contributed to the experience he wanted every patient to have: one that is relaxed, unhurried, and comfortable. In the winter, a cozy fire burns in the fireplace. Treatment rooms are spacious, modern, and full of natural light. Every employee is carefully chosen not only for their ability to provide top-notch service but also for delivering the individualized and personal care his practice is known for.
Dr. Stewart focuses on giving patients a positive experience with every visit. Education is very important to him, both when explaining treatment programs in detail and in helping patients understand the best ways to maintain their oral health. He welcomes questions because he feels it’s vital for patients to fully understand and agree with their recommended treatment before it begins.
With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Stewart offers superb results in routine dental care like fillings and root canals, as well as more advanced procedures such as dental implants and veneers. He has treated over 30,000 patients with comprehensive dental services and continues to expand his education every year. His personal goal and top priority remain the dental health of his patients while helping them improve their self-confidence and trust in dentistry.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Stewart actively supports his community by contributing to the Carol Jean Cancer Foundation, Believe in Tomorrow Foundation, Citizens Commission on Human Rights, Camp Friendship, and Truckin' 4 Troops.
