About Dr. David Axelrod
Dr. David Axelrod grew up in New Jersey. He went to the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where he earned his DDS. After dental school, Dr. Axelrod served as a dental officer in the United States Army Dental Corps for five years.
Dr. Axelrod began his Army service at Fort Benning, Georgia, with a Residency in Advanced General Dentistry. From there he went to serve as the Brigade Dental Surgeon in the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas and deployed to South Korea. He finished his service at Fort Meade, Maryland and was honorably discharged from the US Army. Dr. Axelrod received many awards for his service including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Korea Defense Service Medal.
Dr. Axelrod is dedicated to treating patients with respect and compassion. He knows that a visit to the dentist can be overwhelming, so he always puts the needs of his patients first and foremost. Dr. Axelrod is a lifelong student of dentistry and participates in continuing education courses to keep his skills current and innovative. As he is no stranger to being a dental patient himself, Dr. Axelrod treats his patients as he would want to be treated.
Dr. Axelrod is married to the love of his life, Victoria. They enjoy hiking, skiing, and being in the beautiful Colorado outdoors together. In his free time, Dr. Axelrod plays guitar and practices yoga.

AP Dental office is one of the friendliest dentist offices I have ever been to. I had a complicated case and Dr. Axelrod stayed with it until it was resolved. He treated me with kindness and compassion while being completely professional. I highly recommend he and the staff at AP DENTAL. You can't go wrong!

I have not been to the dentist in over a decade and have not cared for my teeth (mainly due to fear and anxiety at going to the dentist). Dr. Axelrod and his team were very kind and understood my anxiety. They took their time and never made me feel judged for my poor dental hygiene. They explained what they were doing, were very efficient, and regularly checked in to make sure I was okay. The doctor was very thorough in explaining my dental plan... and even though I have numerous future appointments to help fix my teeth, I am actually almost looking forward to them knowing I will be in good hands and getting the best care coupled with compassion!

I had a fine experience at my appointment. The front staff was prompt and friendly, but the dental assistant I had seemed very nervous and on-edge. She accidentally tripped over an x-ray chord, ripping the x-ray piece out of my mouth. I know this was entirely a mistake and I felt really bad for her, but it did make my experience feel strange. The building itself also was very old and there was a spider crawling around the ceiling while I was in the dentist chair. I know this dentist is moving to a new office, so maybe the next one will be better!

I love this dental office!! I have had quite a bit of dental work done at several different dental offices in the past from deep cleanings, fillings, root canals, and crowns and the entire team at this office was by far the best experience I have had! From the moment I walked in the door I was welcomed and thanked for coming to the office as a new patient. I was seen at my scheduled appointment time. The doctor was knowledgeable and patient to answer all my questions and concerns. I received a really good and thorough cleaning (I'm picky when it comes to getting my teeth cleaned). I didn't feel once like I was just another patient that was getting pushed through an assembly line. I felt like the whole team worked well together and cared about me and my specific needs. This is my new dental home :) thank you all!!

I had a surprisingly great time getting my teeth cleaned here. Victoria was incredibly kind, warm, and thorough - she did the cleaning herself which has not always been the case in my experience - and the rest of the staff was friendly as well. I so appreciate that Victoria was straightforward with dental work she would recommend I get vs. work that she would probably hold on for now - I trust that I'm only getting what I need and not getting upcharged/sold on solutions for problems I don't have. I'm relieved to have found this office and look forward (ish) to returning!

Dr. Axelrod did an amazing job on removing my wisdom tooth and getting a crown on my tooth. He's super gentle and precise. I had a terrible fear of dentists due to bad experiences but he wiped that slate clean and I couldn't be happier!

This was the first time I have seen a dentist in about ten years and Doctor Parver was incredibly kind and professional. Doctor Axelrod the next day pulled my wisdom teeth and it was a simple procedure, with someone who was incredibly kind throughout!

I've only been to AP a few times but I have to say that I find their approach to dentistry extremely refreshing. I feel extremely well taken care of here with Dr. Axelrod and would recommend AP more highly than any other dentist office I have been to!

I initially went to this office last week to get a painful sore in my mouth looked at. They were able to get me in quickly (within the week). I was seen by Dr. Axelrod and he was great. One thing I really appreciated was that he genuinely wanted to make sure I had all my questions answered during the visit. Today I had a cleaning at the same dental office. Carly the dental hygienist cleaned my teeth. She had great bedside manner and it was honestly the most comfortable I've felt in a dental office for a cleaning. Today Dr. Parver looked at my teeth for the final examination. She gave great tips on how to take better care of my teeth and had great beside manner. I will be returning to this office for my next cleaning. Front office staff is great too. They are really organized, get back to you in a timely manner, and are great at following up after appointments/communication.

Just changed insurance recently and was nervous about finding a new dentist since I haven’t always had good experiences at the dental office. I chose AP because it is close to where I live. The first thing I noticed about this place is they are all very friendly , polite and personable. I am very satisfied with the services I’ve had thus far and would highly recommend.

I saw Dr Parver not Dr Axlerod. They are a married couple and work as a team. I have a follow up appointment with Dr Axlerod in a few weeks.
A plus for those without insurance. They have a reasonably priced in office insurance plan covering x-rays, 2 cleanings and 10% off further work ( crowns, fillings). This is very helpful for those without insurance like me!

I did some research and found dentist that were recommended for those nervous nellies such as myself and found the A P Dental Care office. I couldn't be more pleased with Doctor Axelrod and his Dental Hygienist Jessica. They were kind and clear with my results and go forward action. I am going back for a follow up in the coming weeks and for once I am not nervous about a dental visit and look forward to making progress with the team. Highly recommend.
