About Dr. David Poiman
Dr. David J. Poiman graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1998, where he received a doctorate of dental medicine degree. He was a recipient of The Delaware Valley Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Award for Oral Implantology, The Crest Award for Excellence in Preventive Dentistry for the Elderly, The American Academy of Oral Medicine Award for his graduating class. He went on to complete his post-doctoral education at New York Medical College Department of Dentistry General Practice Residency, Metropolitan Hospital Affiliation. He has received Biotene Award for Excellence in Hospital Dentistry upon completion of the training. His ability to make people feel comfortable is one of his excellent qualities.
Dr. Poiman is staying on the cutting edge of dentistry through post-graduated education courses. He has established himself as one of the most technologically advanced dentists in Manhattan. Utilizing hard and soft tissue laser procedures and state of the art dental materials have enhanced his ability to treat his patients painlessly and maintain the highest level of integrity and commitment to excellence.
Dr. Poiman has received the prestigious Fellowship from Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in July 2004. In order to earn this great honor, he completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled five years of continuous membership with the AGD. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

The doctor did not even hear my issue fully or examine my teeth. Guess, the doctor is only in interested in any aesthetic oral surgery and was trying to suggest the same to me even though I was not there for any cosmetic consultation

My experience with Dr. Poiman has been exceptional. He explains everything in detail, he is a perfectionist at ever thing he does. I went for invisalign, whitening treatment and to replace a cracked cap. He offers solutions and ask you what you think. What I love about his practice is that every thing is done there. His equipment is high tech and he replaced my cap in one day, and the cap was created in his office while I waited. He matches the color percisely to your teeth. Most dentist have you wait two weeks before your cap arrives, not at his facility. My teeth never looked better. He cares about his patients and makes them feel comfortable. They are very clean everything is wrapped. The staff is amazing, helpful and friendly. I recommend him to my friends, family and co-workers. That's the honest truth.

The Dr was able to see me, and fill my cavity, promptly and painlessly.
No needles and no drill (laser instead) made this my most next-gen and most comfortable filling ever.

Dr. Poiman is very theral and professional, which is what I like about him. He cares about his patients and wants them to be happy. He makes sure that you get what you asked for. The equipment he uses is top of the line, especially for caps and tooth bonding. I have used other dentist and the material they used on my cap cracked within two years and the tooth bonding wears out quickly and it's never the right color of your teeth. I regreted not going back to him for the tooth bonding he did 6 years ago. Dr. Poiman did my cap and I didn't have to wait a week or two for my cap to arrive. He did everything in one day. The cap was made in his office and the equipment uses is top of the line. Right now he is doing my invisiline, I'm excited to see the end result. I defenetly recommend him to all my friends at the firm.

Dr. Poiman is courteous, he took his time to listen to my concerns. He never made me feel rushed even though I had lots of questions. His staff (like Nicole, for example) are great as well.
Although I have only visited him once, when his office says they are gonna send you something, or when he says he is gonna provide you with something, they are not kidding. They make it happen.

David Poiman was very friendly and personable. He was the first dentist I have ever visited who examined me before the hygienist - usually the dentist makes a quick appearance at the very end and it doesn't feel very thorough. I have to say the cleaning and prodding was probably one of the most intense and sometimes painful experiences I have had although it did seem necessary and very thorough. I was there for about an hour and half including x-rays. Overall they did a fantastic job.
