About Dr. David Smith
Dr. David Smith often gets the question, “Where are you from?” While generally easy for most people to answer, Dr. Smith was raised in a military family that moved around frequently—about every three years. Born in Idaho, he traveled with his parents and six siblings to Guam, Texas, Mississippi, and Alaska (Go Chugiak Mustangs!) over the next 18 years. After his parents retired from the Air Force, Dr. Smith followed them to Gilbert, AZ (he’s the baby in the family).
After college, Dr. Smith decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, an Air Force dentist, and his three older brothers—one oral surgeon and two general dentists. He attended Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health at AT Still University in Mesa, AZ, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He was in the same class as Dr. Stradling and is a self-proclaimed mentor of Dr. Stradling because he became a dentist 10 seconds before him. Dr. Smith met and married the love of his life while in dental school, and they now have six children.
Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family—going outdoors, hiking, camping, rafting, and road-tripping in their giant van. He also enjoys Mexican food, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, and watching ’80s and ’90s hit comedy movies.
Dr. Smith is passionate about providing dental patients with the most comfortable, stress-free experience possible. Watch out for his dad jokes that distract while numbing teeth! He believes that providing dentistry is more than just fixing teeth; it’s about providing a great experience. When having dental work done with Dr. Smith, you are treated as a member of his family. He takes pride in honest, clear, realistic treatment planning and lives by the adage that he “would never do any treatment that he wouldn’t feel comfortable having done on himself.”

I have missed my dental appointment, due to work schedule and child’s health issues.
But I would love to reschedule my dental appointment with Dr.Smith, by just reading off his enthusiasm and cared about his patients, I’d love to reschedule. I have been conned, and disappointed from other dentist at Weekend Dental and Westwind Dental Phoenix, they have charged patients and recharge for all their wrongs.
I have hard time trusting dentist anymore!
