About Dr. Denise Halliburton
Dr. Denise Halliburton is a native of New York City.
She graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduating dental school, she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Halliburton is a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Her passion is to promote overall whole body health by way of healing the mouth. When not practicing dentistry and promoting health and hygiene, she can be found on the Lacrosse field cheering for her son.

When I first entered the office, the staff were unpleasant and acted unknowledgeable about my scheduled appointment. They were rude when handling my insurance & the atmosphere of the office was also very grim & unenthusiastic, making my overall experience in the office quite unpleasant. The doctor is decent, but I think that this office needs a change of staff.

This was my first dental visit in four years, so I was a little nervous going in. Dentist visits in general are mostly awkward (fingers in the mouth! all the time! not great!) rather than nerve-wracking for me as I've had good experiences overall. Right off the bat, I appreciated being able to fill out the necessary forms in advance, saving time at the office, and the text message alerts. The front desk receptionist and the dental assistant Michelle were friendly and competent. Michelle did a good job getting my X-Rays. Dr. Halliburton was friendly and thorough, answered questions I had and made sure I understood what she was doing and her diagnoses every step of the way. Looking forward to visiting again in six months!

My dental visit here was awesome! The staff was very homey and personable. I felt like I was catching up with old friends with people that I just met. Dr. Denise was an amazing dentist. She was also very personable and even gave me advice on how to take care of my teeth after my future ortho appointment. Highly recommend this office. I've found my new dentist.

Dr. Halliburton was absolutely AWESOME! She explained everything that she was going to do during my visit and made sure that I fully understood ALL of my treatment options. She was very thorough in her approach to my dental needs and had my teeth sparkling by the time I left her office!!!!!

Dr. Halliburton was the kind of dentist I was looking for, very knowledgeable patient and very gentle. I had no pain after having my dental work done. She only recommend things that she saw for me to keep my eyes aware of and not try to oversell her practice.

My 7-year old son LOVED Dr. Halliburton! He hadn’t been to the dentist in quite some time due to a bad experience at a previous dental office. I was nervous about how he would do since he had shown fear in the past. He did awesome and I truly think it is because of how well Dr. Halliburton interacted with him! We both were very pleased! My son even said “That was relaxing!” Can’t wait to take him back!!

Dr. Halliburton was great! My children were seen promptly. She was calm and made them feel comfortable. She explained to me their needs in a manner that was appreciated. Our office visit was less than 45 minutes total!

Dr. Halliburton is an excellent dentist. She's extremely professional. Considering I had a molar extracted, I felt comfortable throughout the whole procedure. From beginning to end, she communicates with you what's happening.(even though I was like "just yank it")
Aside from her professionalism, she's gentle, kind, and funny. I highly recommend her.

I appreciate the time and patience Dr. Halliburton took with me during my visit. I expressed to her that I have a real anxiety with dentist due to past experiences and she took the time to explain my procedures, my treatment plan and any follow ups needed. She was attentive, thoughtful and made sure I remained comfortable during my visit.
I am thankful that I found Dr. Halliburton and hope that anyone who has an anxiety or nervousness towards dentist will give her office a call and her a try.
