From young age Dr. Dmytro Zhurakovskyy (known as Dr. “Z”) had been fascinated by the medical and health fields and knew that his life’s passion is dentistry. His dental career started at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine from which he graduated at the top of his class and received the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with highest Latin honors Summa Cum Laude.
Throughout his dental career Dr. Z has received numerous awards including multiple dental implantology awards: ICOI, AAID, and AO. For his excellence and achievements in the field, Dr. Z was also inducted into honorary dental organization: Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor Dental Society and Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Z continued his career by getting additional training as a resident at the Bronx Veterans Hospital. There not only he had the honor of treating America’s finest, he also gained experience in cosmetic restorative dentistry and various surgical procedures, including implants.
Dr. Z has also dedicated time in his professional career to care for underserved. In the summer of 2013 he went on a 1-month long trip to the island of Madagascar where with the team, he provided essential dental care for over 1,000 people of the island.
Today, Dr. Z is a proud member of one of NYC’s most prestigious dental group practices, Park 56 Dental, where he provides quality comprehensive dental care.

Dr. Z impressed me. If I went to a different practice, I would have been told that I would need a root canal among other things. With Dr. Z there, he was able to diagnose a condition, I have that is pretty exclusive to African - American women. It was his FIRST time diagnosing it, but he knew based on his extensive knowledge and his assessment of me as his patient. After this visit, I knew that I was at the best dental practice in the city. My job recently changed insurance plans, so I hope I can stay with you. I'm just absolutely impressed. Not just with Dr. Z, but with my visit as a whole. THANK YOU!

I don't really write reviews, but I had such a positive experience, I wanted to share it. I came to Bark 56 Dental through a friend's recommendation to see Dr. Zhurakovskyy (hope i spelled it right ha). Been having some problems with one of my teeth for some time and finally got the courage to see a dentist. The doctor was very patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. The best part was when he was finished with my tooth! I couldn't even remember which tooth he worked on because it looked just like the teeth next to it! Thanks Dr Z!
