About Dr. Yi-Ling Shiao
Dr. Yi-Ling Shiao grew up in Los Angeles, California. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. She completed her residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Shiao started Expert Dental as her dental practice in New York City in 2007. Expert Dental NYC provides all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry including cleaning, fillings, root canal treatment, crowns, bridges, implants, braces, veneers, onlays, inlays, denture, and extractions. In addition to Dr. Shiao, Expert Dental also has several other in house associates specializing in different aspects of dentistry, including a periodontist, an oral surgeon and an endodontist.
Dr. Shiao continues to take advanced training all aspects of dentistry. She has completed certified dental implant program at NYU Dental School as well as continuing education courses in orthodontics sponsored by IAO/AOS. Dr. Shiao is also certified in Invisalign and Clear Correct invisible braces (clear aligners) technology.

Dr. Luke Charms and the rest of the team were great! They took the time to explain everything and gave helpful hints.

The hygienist was great but the dentist came in for 3 minutes, told me I had everything wrong with me, and then left the room without any reassurance. Money hungry place

The office called to reschedule my appointment saying the time and date I picked wasn’t available. On the actual visit, I wasn’t seen by Dr. Shiao. The dentist I got was alright, though it felt that he was rushing through the appointment. The dental hygienist was a bit chatty.
They are pretty clear with their fees. Though at times it felt that they were trying a bit hard to sell.

I didn’t interact much with Dr. Shiao but she seem really friendly. Kayla helped me at the front desk and she was very friendly and helpful. Kimberly clean my teeth and she was super pleasant and friendly. The endodontists that accidentally walk in was friendly too. Overall everyone I spoke to was very friendly and made the visit very pleasant.

Staff is very friendly. Office is very new, clean, and hygienic. Only drawback is the last 2 times I was at the office for my regular cleaning, I had to wait over an hour after appointment time to be seen.

Clean office, very friendly staff, fast but thorough cleaning. The only thing I didn't like was how they try and sell you treatments/products that cost hundreds of dollars after the appointment.
