About Dr. Dov Kahane
Dov Kahane, D.D.S., founder and director of Riverdale Cosmetic Dentists, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine and Oral Surgery in 1983, with a concentration in restorative dentistry. Dr. Kahane was invited to join the faculty of the Dental School as a Clinical Instructor in Restorative Dentistry, where he taught for several years. At Columbia, he came to understand that to be a superb clinician, one must be both knowledgeable about the entire human biological system and meticulous in the treatment of the mouth and teeth. He has lived by this principle since his days as a student.

Everything was fine except time MGT. Respectfully, my time is valuable. If I make an appointment in good faith, I have a reasonable expectation that I will be seen exactly at the time of the appointment. I hope that this was just the first time experience because I really like the doctor. However, I am adamant about my time being respected. I don’t show up late for an appointment, because I respect your time. Please consider this. In addition, I had to take images of my mouth and the assistant did everything but it seemed like the imaging machine was not cooperating which led to an additional delay. In total it took 2 1/2 hours for the visit which is just too long. Thank you for allowing me the out provide constructive feedback.

Basically saw a different dentist. She was great, but I was charged for the dentist on the appointment not the one I saw. And on top of that they didn’t actually accept my dental insurance and charged me for a regular dental exam and cleaning when I usually don’t pay for those as they are supposed to be fully covered by insurance.

Dr. Kahana is the BEST! He is not only professional always, but he is a very nice person as well. He listens to his patients and explains everything very clearly. He had been my dentist for many years and I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else. His office staff are all wonderful and make you feel well taken care of.

I have had a great deal of dental work in my life (unfortunately!) and have been treated by a number of general dentists (as well as specialists) throughout the years. Dr. Kahane stands out among them. He is not only extremly knowledgeable and skilled, but he is also kind and caring. I never felt rushed, all of my questons and concerns were addressed and I was treated with respect and compassion. I am delighted to have "discovered" this excellent practitioner and will recommened him to friends and family without reservation!
