About Dr. Eddie Longman
Dr. Longman’s compassion for his patients and his keen eye for the latest dental technology are what patients and staff appreciate most about him. Getting to know patients and treating them with the most effective cosmetic and restorative methods are what set Dr. Longman’s successful 40-year-old practice apart from others.
He strongly believes that an enthusiastic professional staff caring for patients in a comfortable environment results in the best experience for both patient and dentist.
Dr. Longman’s expertise in tooth-saving endodontic therapy has given him a firm grasp of this technique that many general dentists don’t have. He has performed thousands of root canal procedures. He is certified in conscious sedation dentistry and advanced cardiovascular life support and is highly experienced in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Longman earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, which laid the foundation for his extensive career in dentistry.

Dr. Longman was excellent. Definitely communicated everything he was doing and was attentive to my comfort. I had barely any discomfort and they accommodated me to complete my temporary crown the same day as my assessment.

Very professional. Staff very pleasant. The doctor who performed the surgery is excellent and has great bedside manners. Dr. Longman is a very accommodating Dr. He is also very professioanl, and empathetic.

Dr. Longman has been my dentist for 15 years. He is THE BEST! Look no further - his knowledge, bed side manner, and most of all, his skill at keeping the patient comfortable while stopping any decay is outstanding. I would not go to anyone else!

The office staff was in efficient when processing my claim. I was badger on making a payment before my service was complete.
When someone already start it work on your mouth they shouldn't stop and have a person come in and talk to you about the cost. The cost should be upfront before service.

I visited with Dr. Phan, all I can say is FANTASTIC! I was a new patient, forms were easy and quick to complete, office staff was very friendly. Overall, for a first appointment, I cant express how happy and satisfied with this practice. They explain everything, provide referrals and keep you informed every step of the way. This will most certainly be the practice I use in Alexandria!

I had booked thru ZocDoc..it is ZocDoc I have the problem with. I had updated my info, scheduled my appointment thru ZocDoc, to be seen at 2:00 . I arrive at 2:00, and the office had tried to call me to reschedule. ZocDoc's system did not update the info. Luckily, this professional group could see I was in distress. They worked me in, and had to have emergency root canal next day due to severe infection. Had it not been for the professionalism displayed by Dr. Longman's practice, and was kind enough to work me in. ZocDoc needs to update its system..it caused confusion. Thank God For Dr. Longman's compassionate staff!

I had a thorough checkup and cleaning, and was able to set a followup appointment - on a Saturday - very quickly to follow. The staff was courteous and the dentist who did the checkup was friendly and helpful, and I felt like they did a great job.
