About Dr. Erika Pimentel
Dr. Erika Pimentel was born and raised in Peru. In 2012, She completed her Bachelor Degree in Dentistry and obtained her Doctor in Dental Surgery Degree. She graduated as Magna Cum Laude from the top ranked Dental School in the country (Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University). During this time she discovered her true passion for Prosthodontics, leading her to pursue a 3 year training and earned her Specialist degree on 2016.
She practiced as a Dentist and Prosthodontist in private practice until 2018. Dr. Pimentel’s pursuit of excellence led her to be accepted at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Connecticut where she completed 2 years of training. During her time in the AEGD residency she was able to further her training applying and enhancing her Prosthodontics knowledge and developed new skills regarding digital, cosmetic and implant dentistry. She was able to get licensed in the stated of Illinois, Washington and Florida and finally moved to Bradenton in 2021.
Outside of work, Dr. Pimentel enjoys life with her husband, Wally Garcia, a fellow dentist. They love traveling, exploring cultures, and embracing new experiences. A beach lover, she cherishes Florida’s Gulf Coast sunsets. A National Champion in the Peruvian dance “Marinera,” she continues her passion for dance and stays active with Zumba and gym workouts.
Dr. Pimentel is fully bilingual in Spanish and English and has a strong sense of empathy with her patients. You will always see her with a big smile and willing to help her team. She strongly believes that every patient deserves the best care she can provide and will treat you as a family of her own. Her extensive training, kindness and eagerness to learn more every day, added to over 12 years of experience, makes her a great addition to our team.
