Since 2003, F. Lee Angus, Jr. DDS has provided quality dental services in the Midlothian, VA area. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Angus has a vision to provide quality care by prioritizing the decisions and preferences of the patient during consultations.
Every smile we serve is unique, and we use our wide array of dental services to create a customized treatment plan. With experienced staff members, advanced technologies, and a comfortable environment, all treatment is provided with the utmost professionalism.

I had a terrible experience at the dental office. My trip took longer than the visit itself. The dentist saw me for literally 5 min. I asked to do a cleaning he said he didn’t have space in the calendar. Also, the clinic could inform me beforehand that my insurance takes 4 weeks before I get an estimate and not make me drive all the way there to deny my treatment. They are not patient-focused at all. I am writing to notify other potential clients to avoid this place.

Right away they were friendly knowing I had traveled further than 30 minutes away and rushing. They checked me in right away and took my insurance. I waited maybe 5 minutes and was escorted to a dental chair, where the nurse was immensely helpful and kind, immediately began work while chatting. The dentist, Dr. Lee Angus, came promptly maybe again waited 10 minutes and thoroughly explained what was going on, my options, the details with choosing which option, the current actions being taken that day, and let me know that there was no pressure to choose according to my needs/wants and that they would be happy to assist/accommodate when I was ready to get started.

It's a pretty standard waiting room, but clean, and relaxing. There is the same boring magazine selection, on a coffee table as there is in every waiting room I've ever been in, but it's okay because I didn't even have time to finish reading the cover before I was called in.
Everyone I met who works there is very caring, and professional. It was explained to me which type of X-ray I was getting and why. There's a lot of work that needs doing in my mouth, and there were no snickers, or rude comments. Oh yes, I've had previous dentists make cheeky comments before.
I have an appointment in 2 days for a cleaning, an extraction, and two fillings. I'm confident it will be a decent, low-stress experience. The team inspires these feelings.

Super friendly staff and super helpful. They provided great advice and educated me on best oral hygiene. I also appreciated that they suggested alternatives to oral care that is more affordable before taking the more expensive route. I definitely recommend them to others!
