About Dr. Fauzia Khan-Alsikafi

Dr. Fauzia Khan is the founder, owner, and dentist of Lake Bluff Family Dentistry, which opened its doors to the community in June 2018. Her passion for dentistry lies in building strong relationships with her patents and promoting an understanding of each new patient’s overall dental health. Dr. Khan loves to make people smile and she believes that helping others have a better experience when “going to the dentist” is just as important as providing the treatment that fits their needs. Seeing patients leave after their appointment happy and smiling inspires her to be the best! Dr. Khan grew up in Lake Bluff and attended both Lake Forest Country Day School and Lake Forest High School. She then continued her undergraduate education at the University of Chicago and completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Northwestern University Dental School. Dr. Khan had the opportunity over the past two decades to work in private practices and community health centers. She held faculty positions at both the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of California San Francisco. Both positions were working with dental students whether in community dental centers or on the clinic floor. Dr. Khan also has advanced training from SPEAR Education where she has spent many hours of continuing education and clinical hands-on training. Our caring dentist in Lake Bluff, IL centers her philosophy on listening to her patients, advising them on treatment options and making each dental visit as comfortable as possible. Dr. Khan currently lives in Lake Bluff, IL with her husband, Dr. Nejd Alsikafi. They have five children who are now young adults and are still reminded by their mother to brush their teeth! Outside the office, Dr. Khan enjoys playing tennis, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
