About Dr. Frank Amaefuna

Dr. Frank Amaefuna empowers patients to receive the treatment they need while truly understanding their oral health, helping them become proactive about their dental care. Dr. Amaefuna discovered dentistry while undergoing orthodontic treatment in high school. After shadowing his orthodontist, he quickly realized dentistry was the right career path. He completed his dental education at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, followed by a General Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital. Outside of clinical dentistry, Frank serves on the CSDA’s Access to Care Task Force, Connecticut’s Coalition for Oral Health Initiative Executive Board, and advises the Elm City Smiles Dental Initiative. His clinical expertise includes restorative dental care, dentures and partials, and root canal therapy, with plans to offer implant placement in the future. Dr. Amaefuna is excited to bring his expertise and commitment to patient care to our office. A fun fact: while in college, he sang professionally with the Vineyard Sound a cappella group on Martha’s Vineyard and enjoys acting.
