About Dr. Fuwad Al-Sabek

Dr. Fuwad Al-Sabek is our resident endodontist, and a fantastic member of the Art of Modern Dentistry Family. Dr. Al-Sabek got his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and got his Certificate of Proficiency in Endodontics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He stayed at this university to later receive his Master of Science in Endodontics. Dr. Al-Sabek’s focus has been developing root-canal procedures and other endodontic treatments that are virtually pain-free and take only one visit. He uses Art of Modern’s state-of-the-art technology to provide top-quality care for his patients. When he’s outside the office, Dr. Al-Sabek enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and has an affinity for cars.

Most relevant

Went in for a check-up and semi-annual cleaning appointment as a new patient. Was seen by a provider for an evaluation that, while pleasant, was neither who I made the appointment with nor listed on their website. Verbal feedback of the 5 minute evaluation was generally positive. In the end I never actually received the standard cleaning and polishing the appointment was made for, and was instead presented with a much more thorough, invasive, and expensive cleaning option. Alternatives were not provided and the reasoning why it might be necessary after a positive evaluation was not clearly communicated. Over an hour later I left, frustrated, without what I made the appointment for completed. It felt like an upsell and after the switching the provider without any acknowledgement that it was happening, now I feel like I need a 2nd opinion to find out. I would hesitate to recommend them to anyone not willing to ask "why" of their health provider to avoid being taken advantage of.
