“Despite not liking to go to the dentist, the experience at Dr. Chan's office was better than I expected. The last time I saw a dentist was over 10 years ago. Dr. Chan has newer equipment, where you can pretty much see your X-rays and a 360 degree view of your mouth immediately after they take a picture.. Office staff were exceptionally nice, welcoming and informative. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.”

About Dr. Gregg Chan
Dr. Gregg Takashi Chan is committed to treating every patient as an individual and providing the highest quality care to each and every one of his patients.
Dr. Chan grew up in the Seattle area and attended the University of Washington. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2011. During dental school, Dr. Chan participated in numerous humanitarian trips to Honduras, providing free dental care to underserved communities. He received several awards, including the USC John Ingle Award for outstanding achievement in research and the Dental Foundation of California's scholarship for academic and clinical excellence. After graduation, Dr. Chan moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he served as a managing dentist in a private practice, working with underserved communities and families to deliver high-quality dental care to both children and adults.
In 2012, Dr. Chan returned to California and opened his own dental practice in Torrance. He prides himself on using the latest technology and evidence-based dentistry to enhance patient care. Dr. Chan is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Western Los Angeles Dental Society. Committed to serving underserved populations, he participates in community initiatives such as Give Kids A Smile and the USC Mobile Clinic through his practice. Recently, Dr. Chan was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Public Health and Pediatric Dentistry.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Chan. He fit me in very quickly and we have a dental plan to get me back on track. I look forward in having him as my long term dentist.

The staff are caring and efficient and friendly. The office is clean and calm. The treatment is virtually pain free these days. I had swelling and pain in my tooth and got a same day appointment with Dr Chan. He referred me to an oral surgeon straight away and I was seen that afternoon. I very much appreciated the speed with which Dr Chan and his staff responded to my issue.

Very thorough examination, by far the best that I have ever had. Hygienist was very gentle, thorough and knowledgeable and did an excellent job at cleaning. Dr Chan was great in explaining and discussing the areas where there were issues and what the X-ray showed and also had camera shots so that I can see in detail what my teeth really looked like.
I highly recommend Dr Chan as he takes pride in his profession.

Dr Chan and his staff were amazing! I was in a lot of pain and they fit me right in. He came highly recommended by a friend and I’m so glad she passed on his info. They were running a great deal for check up, X-rays and cleaning. Dr Chan was able to figure out what was causing my pain, made me a bite guard and I woke up the next day in ZERO pain. Thank you Dr and your wonderful staff!!

This was my first visit as a patient. I particularly enjoyed Dr. Chan's professional manner and explanation of his goals for his patients, what I can expect from him and what he sees his patients role as being. He also accommodated a cleaning I wanted but had failed to schedule - the hygienist was very personable and professional. A very good start.

Dr. Gregg is a great dentist, knowledgeable, and professional.
The staff there are also exceptional. They truly care about you and your teeth. My favorite hygienist is Elissa. She is great, and cleaned my teeth super well.
All my appointments have been right on time and I’m in and out without any delays.
They have plenty of parking, and a very modern office. I highly recommend them.

It was so simple to call and book an appointment. As soon as I came into the office I was greeted by a friendly smile from the receptionist, Katie. I was seated with Dr. Chan and it was a start to a great appointment! I've always been afraid of the dentist by Dr.Chan made me feel comfortable and went at my comfort speed. He explained everything before he did it and I immediately felt a connection and wasn't rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Chan. I didn't feel overwhelmed and when we started the filling, he talked me through it. If you've had trouble finding a dentist who makes it a priority to find out about your concerns and fears, then look no further! Dr. Chan is your dentist!

Overall great experience. No wait time and friendly staff. Dr. Chan was excellent! He allowed me to ask all of my questions and offered me a variety of treatment options. There was no pressure and I wasn't made to feel bad about needing treatment. The office is very nice and in a cozy little complex with plenty of parking. Glad I found him on ZocDoc.
