Dr. Gregory Shank is a board-certified oral surgeon. He is a native New Yorker and the son of two dentists. He attended Chaminade High School on Long Island. He then attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the School of Dental Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Shank pursued residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center. He received full-scope training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Shank has a particular interest in digital applications in implant dentistry and reconstruction. As a student, he was heavily involved in the American Dental Association, serving as the District Trustee. He represented the students of New York and New Jersey on a national level. Dr. Shank has a particular passion for creating a comfortable treatment environment for anxious patients. When he isn’t working, he’s an avid runner, attends concerts, and enjoys sports.

All of the staff were so pleasant and the receptionist who booked me is the sweetest person! Dr. Shank was really nice and so comforting during my teeth extraction. He kept telling me how amazing I was doing. His bedside manner was really great which is super important, especially as a dentist. I was so nervous but he really eased my nerves

I waited to get my wisdom teeth extracted out of fear. If I would of met Dr. Shank before I wouldn't have dealt with the pain. He was gentle and kind. With little to no pain after. If you are someone with dental anxiety I would recommend you to see Dr. Shank.
