About Dr. Hakam Al-Samarrai
With his wealth of experience in dentistry, commitment to continuing education, and a background in marketing, data, content creation, and management, Dr. Hakam Al-Samarrai has gained valuable expertise in a broad range of subjects within and beyond his field. Dr. Al-Samarrai has an eclectic understanding of dentistry and medicine, has helped thousands achieve optimal oral health, and works closely with patients to educate, encourage, and inspire. He brings over 10 years of skill to the table, actively volunteers in the community, and continues to pursue lifelong learning.
Since graduating with honors from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2010, Dr. Al-Samarrai worked as an Associate Dentist throughout Texas and California and served as faculty staff for the USC Dentistry Division of the Skid Row Homeless Healthcare Initiative before settling into practice here. He has also been honored by the UCLA Neuroscience division, UCLA TIDE Program, and the Torrance Sister City Association.
Dr. Al-Samarrai holds professional affiliations with the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Kois Center.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Al-Samarrai has worked as an Online Marketing Manager, Business Analyst, Research Assistant for UCLA, and camp counselor at Pepperdine University. He has also served as Social Media Coordinator for the Tufts University Alumni, participated in charity runs including the South Bay Children’s Hospital 5k Charity Run and the USC-UCLA sponsored We Run the City charity drive for Southern California Special Olympics, and volunteered with the California Dental Association.
