About Dr. Hannah Liss
Dr. Hannah Liss is a Board Certified Periodontist specializing in the treatment of periodontal diseases and the placement of dental implants.
Dr. Liss received her B.A. in Art History with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Georgia, where she received the Zell B. Miller Hope Scholarship for academic achievement. Dr. Liss went on to study at New York University College of Dentistry, where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Subsequently, she completed her residency in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also obtained a Master of Science in Oral Biology. During her studies, Dr. Liss was heavily involved in research through the Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics in conjunction with NYU Langone's Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery. Through her research endeavors, Dr. Liss has been published in journals such as: Nature Journal’s Scientific Reports, the Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery and the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Liss has presented her research both nationally and internationally. She has been the recipient of several awards, such as: Dentsply Sirona’s Outstanding Student Clinician award, NYU’s Dean’s Award for Outstanding Presentation and NYU’s Best Basic Science Presentation, among others. She was also named a recipient of the Coslet Memorial Scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Liss serves as a clinical instructor at New York Medical College and Metropolitan Hospital.

I wanted for more than 30min and she only saw me for 5min. The session was useless. I sent documents and x-rays in advance to precisely avoid this session. She asked me to come again in one month to start a procedure she could have started today.

I would make sure to call the office first and check that the office accepted my dental health insurance. I booked my appointment online and gave all my health insurance including my specific health insurance number and was given an appointment time. However, when I showed up at the office reception and gave them my insurance card, I was told that my insurance was not accepted, not even for a consultation with the doctor. This was a complete waste of time and very unprofessional on their part.

There was no wait, the office is really lovely with friendly staff, and Dr. Liss is wonderful - explains things clearly and makes sure you feel comfortable with next steps in treatment. Definitely recommend highly!
