About Dr. Hao Van Nguyen

He worked in the mainframe computer industry for more than three years in the U.S. and Japan in the 1980s before going back to dental school at UC San Francisco. He graduated from Berkeley with the highest honors (top 3%). Dr. Nguyen was awarded the Regent Scholarship from both UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco. He also received numerous awards during his dental years: the Martin Awards for academic achievements, the Hughes Award for prosthodontics, the Fleming Award for outstanding care for patients, and a CDA scholarship. When Dr. Nguyen is not practicing dentistry at his private practice, he enjoys serving a number of organizations for volunteer work. He is very active with his high school’s alumni association. He also enjoys badminton, tennis, and spending time with his family, which includes his beautiful wife and two children. He is a member of the American Association of Functional Orthodontics, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association®.
