About Dr. HeeJue Hong
HeeJue Hong, DMD, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She received the American Academy of Periodontology Award and was inducted into the NU Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honors Society. Following graduation, she went on to complete a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. During residency, she received training in implantology, oral surgery, intravenous and oral sedation, molar endodontics, Botox for myofascial pain, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hong has wanted to be a dentist ever since she was little. She loves her profession and is passionate about comfortable and gentle care. She wants to redefine the dental experience with open communication with her patients and providing customized care. Outside of the office, Dr. Hong loves to be active, whether it is working on her yoga practice, skiing the mountains of Utah, or running around DC to explore her new city. She is looking forward to learning about her patient’s favorite restaurants, sites, and events in the DMV area. She is extremely excited to be a part of the amazing team and to provide you with a smile you love.

Lovely dentist experience! I tend to avoid the dentist like the plague, but she made me feel comfortable even when I had cavities. She’s personable and answered all my questions, being actually interested in making sure I understood what was going on. The office even fit me in to get fillings later that same day. Highly recommend and I will be telling my partner to go see her as well <3

I had a wonderful experience at my recent dental visit. After avoiding the dentist for over two years because of anxiety, I was nervous, but she quickly put me at ease. She was gentle, kind, and patient, and I really appreciated her honesty in only recommending what I needed. For the first time in a long while, going to the dentist felt positive, and I’m considering making her my regular dentist.

I booked this appointment 4 days in advance and when I got to the office was when they informed me that my time slot was double booked. They acted confused as though zoc doc should not have offered the appointment in the first place but they clearly saw me on the schedule. Ideally office management would have reached out to me immediately to inform me the time slot was taken. but instead I drove 30 min each way and wasted over an hour of my time.

Dr. Hong is an excellent dentist—very professional and also warm. The experience of getting x-rays and a cleaning was much more pleasant than the usual experience, and she took the time to show me how I was doing in trouble spots. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Hong and this practice!
