About Dr. Hyun Nyun Woo
We welcome Dr. Hyun Woo as a periodontist at Zen Dentistry! He brings exceptional academic credentials to our practice, having earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University, and a Master of Science in Periodontics from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where Dr. Woo completed postdoctoral training in Periodontics. Dr. Woo also served as a faculty member in the Periodontics department in the past.
Dr. Woo's clinical expertise is complemented by his significant research contributions in periodontal regeneration and bioengineering approaches to treating periodontal diseases. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals including Nature, Bioactive Materials, and PLoS One, with particular focus on scaffolds for integrated periodontal regeneration and bioengineering periodontal tissues for peri-implantitis treatment. He maintains active membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and Northeastern Society of Periodontists, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of periodontics through both clinical excellence and scientific research.
