About Dr. J Scott Moffitt

Dr. Scott Moffitt is proud to bring over two decades of experience to the Cooley Smiles team in Factoria. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in dentistry, Dr. Moffitt was inspired by the strong legacy around him. His father, Dr. John Moffitt, ran a thriving pediatric dental practice in Spokane for more than 35 years, and his brothers have also embraced the profession—one as a pediatric dentist in Spokane and another as a prosthodontist in Minnesota. Dr. Scott earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. He went on to build and lead his own successful dental practice in Burien for 25 years. In 2024, Dr. Moffitt transitioned from practice ownership to join Cooley Smiles, allowing him to continue doing what he loves while spending more time with his wife, Jane, and their three children—Jack, Molly, and Megan. Known for his warm and personable approach, Dr. Moffitt is passionate about building long-term relationships with his patients and providing compassionate, customized care in a welcoming environment. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys cheering on his kids at their sporting events and staying actively involved in their lives.
