About Dr. Jack Mayhew
Dr. Jack Mayhew is a highly respected endodontist in Colorado Springs, known for his expertise in root canal therapy and microsurgical endodontics. Originally from Magnolia, Arkansas, Dr. Mayhew earned his dental degree with honors in 1997 from the University of Louisville, followed by advanced endodontic training at the same university. In 1999, he received his Certificate in Endodontics along with a Master’s degree in Science.
During his academic career, Dr. Mayhew excelled in teaching, research, and clinical practice. He published multiple studies in the Journal of Endodontics on post retention and nickel-titanium files—research that continues to guide his advanced endodontic care today. His exceptional skills earned numerous accolades, including the Outstanding Achievement in Science, Outstanding Achievement in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology, Excellence in Prosthodontics, Achievement Award in Endodontics, and membership in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
After residency, Dr. Mayhew practiced in Texarkana, serving patients from Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. His peers recognized his commitment to excellence by naming him a “Texas Super Dentist.” In 2005, he fulfilled his childhood dream of moving to Colorado, where he has since become one of the region’s most trusted root canal specialists. He has been honored repeatedly with the 5280 Top Dentist Award and recognized by Colorado Springs Magazine as a Top Dentist.
Today, Dr. Mayhew combines his deep clinical knowledge with compassionate care, helping patients achieve pain relief and preserve their natural teeth through gentle root canal treatment and endodontic surgery. Outside the office, he enjoys Colorado’s great outdoors and spending time with his wife and two sons.
