Dr. Jacob Kuruvilla and the staff at Fundamental Dental are caring and compassionate when treating their patients at their Dallas dental office.
Dr. Kuruvilla, a Doctor of Dental Medicine graduate from Temple University, remembers his prior experiences at the dentist and wants to make every visit for his patients as comfortable and educational as possible, leaving the worry and fear of the unknown behind. “Our goal is to have every patient leave with a smile and a strong understanding about their own teeth.” Dr. Kuruvilla believes that dentistry does not have to be difficult to understand, and knowing is half the battle!

Dr. Jacob Kuruvilla and his staff were excellent! I hadn't been to the dentist in general since my senior year of high school and I am 25 years old now. So needless to say, I needed work done. At the beginning of the week my wisdom teeth began to hurt, and the pain only worsened. I made an appt via ZocDoc w/ Dr. Jacob Kuruvilla on 11/7 FOR 11/8. Not only did they take me and make time for me - I got a teeth cleaning AND he was able to extract 2 of my wisdom teeth! The whole staff took great care of me, and I will definitely be coming back!!!

I’m still not done with my appointments, but I would definitely recommend Dr.Jacob, you can see that he has so much passion for Dentistry. He truly loves his job and he made me feel very comfortable and was clear on prices and honestly works with you to make your appointments or if u need any extra care while there, offers water or blanket if your cold through out your procedure. I’ve never had such a great smooth dentist experience! His assistants are very friendly and GENTLE, they ask permission before doing anything to you. I liked that a lot! I like their communication style a very friendly positive environment! & You even get to watch a movie with headphones during your procedure! Very comforting!!

I schedule an appointment for 9:00 am on the 4th. I arrive and the lights to the building are off, no one is there. I call and the representative tells me the door will be open in one minute. Ten minutes later, I call again and am told that my appointment was moved to the 9th. I did not receive a single phone call, text, or email to let me know my appointment was moved. They said the office was closed this day and I could reschedule—- no thanks. Terrible service! I specifically said when scheduling the appointment that I wanted to miss as little work as possible to avoid financial trouble. They just wasted my time.

The front office assistant was very rude. He had called me about a week before my appointment to get my insurance info to verify it, but then hadn’t even verified it by the time I got to the office. After waiting for 20 minutes, I heard him calling my insurance then to verify coverage. Why even reach out a week in advance to verify if you don’t verify until the patient has been waiting in office for 20 minutes. Even after verification the wait was long. The girl who took xrays was not very friendly either. The doctor was nice though and communicated well.

Everyone was great. Dr Kuruvilla is amazing, and kept making sure that I understood everything I needed to know about my teeth condition, he thoroughly discussed potential plans for treatment. I trusted his judgment and scheduled my next appointments right away !

Really great dentist! Explains everything, listens to everything and will see you immediately if you're feeling pain, and along with the whole office, will wear N95 masks for your appointment. Awesome dentist!

While the initial experience was good, clean, beautiful office. Staff was friendly and attentive. Where things went south was when the dentist proceeded to tell me that I needed 9 fillings with 3 additional protective feelings. This was a shock as I am 32 and have had 1 cavity in my entire life. I got a second opinion the following day and that dentist recommended only 1 filling. While I understand that there is a level of variability between dentists and opinions, 9 to 1 is a very large difference. Some red flags for me was the frequency of him telling me he’s being transparent and he wanted me to trust him. If you’re not trying to screw me over you wouldn’t need to say that.

Amazing experience. Everything was thoroughly explained at each step and I was very comfortable the entire time. Fantastic staff that clearly love what they’re doing. I’ve been to plenty of dental offices in the DFW area and this one, by far, is the best amongst them.

SO AMAZING!
The staff was incredibly friendly and were able to see me about 15 minutes early. The office was very clean and upbeat, and the exam rooms were bright and comfortable. I came in for the classic works: X rays, cleaning, and checking up on a few worry spots (that turned out to be cavities). The exam room has a flatscreen TV mounted to the ceiling directly above the exam chair, and a set of Bluetooth headphones, where I was able to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince during my exam! I had an ah-ha moment - why is every dentist's office not like this? It made the time fly by and the headphones really helped reduce my stress during my procedures.
Dr. Kuruvilla paused throughout the consultation, asking about my lifestyle and what my goals were during my visit. He explained the outcomes of each treatment option and asked if I understood his explanations every step of the way. I felt so confident in my choices and will certainly be a returning patient.

Where do I start... going to Dentist Jacob Kuruvilla's office is a WHOLE experience! Everything was just amazing, they really value the client experience. They made sure I was relaxed and comfortable and even had great movie options in their big TV placed on the roof so you can watch with noise-canceling headphones as you lay down and get your procedures done and/or wait for the Dr. The staff was super friendly and down to earth as well. They also have good evening hours which is great for those that work 9 - 5 pm M-F or have busy day time schedules.
Best dentist experience I have ever had, I highly recommend.
