About Dr. James Kelly
Dr. Jim Kelly was the first in his family to attend college. Jim became interested in dentistry while observing his college roommate’s father at work in his Delaware dental practice. Dr. Ignacio Gispert had been a dentist in Cuba until he fled to America with his family following Castro’s rise to power. His story impacted Jim greatly and inspired him to become a dentist.
Dr. Kelly graduated from the Temple University School of Dentistry in the top one-third of his class in 1983 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He practiced in his hometown of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with Dr. Daniel F. Dunn, DMD, in a highly successful dental practice until leaving in February 2015. Dr. Kelly relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, for its warm climate and proximity to family and friends.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kelly has dedicated himself to continuing his education so that he is better able to assist his patients in living long, healthy, and productive lives. A high point in his learning has been with state-of-the-art dental laser technology. After achieving his Associate Fellowship in the use of the Waterlase iPlus™ 2.0 All-Tissue Laser by Biolase®, Dr. Kelly is now able to offer his patients “no shot, no drill, no pain” dentistry. As a Waterlase iPlus™ dentist, Dr. Kelly has taken his standard of care to the next level and has clearly set himself apart from the majority of dentists in the Phoenix area.
Dr. Kelly has also established himself as an expert in Neuromuscular Dentistry, under the mastership tutelage of Dr. Clayton A. Chan, DDS, MICCMO of Occlusion Connections in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Kelly has also received advanced studies in neuromuscular dentistry from the acclaimed Las Vegas Institute (LVI).

Wonderful!! Sherrie treated me like family! Always felt comfortable, Dr. Kelly is amazing, very gentle yet effective. I Would definitely recommend this team. I learned a lot about healthy care for my teeth. I look forward to my next visit-never thought I'd say that about a dentist, but Dr. Kelly and his staff are gems! Oh and the building location is absolutely beautiful! Overall top notch visit.

Dr. Jim is very good, he and I got along well and that is a great start.
I always like learning about the various procedures available and new techniques, Dr. Jim certainly was good at explaining them and I liked that he wanted to be conservative.
We worked out a plan and we are starting on it very soon.
I am glad I met Dr. Jim, it makes the appointment much better when you really connect and trust your dentist.
P.S. I like the App for the appointment it works very well.

I am 60 years old. This is the first Dentist office that I really don't mind going to. Everyone is extremely nice and very helpful. Dr. Kelly is someone I plan to (& actually already have) recommend to anyone that will listen. Aside from being a very friendly person, He is also very knowledgeable and explained to me what He was doing as he did it. I have never been so relaxed at a dentist appt.

I cant believe that a visit to a dentist could be enjoyable. First, the view from the office is incredible. It puts you into a good mood right away.
It didnt even smell like a dentist office. It was more like a spa. The office crew were all kind and helpful.

My past experiences with dentist visits have been intimidating but DR Kelly and his staff were AMAZING! From the moment I walked into the office the atmosphere made me feel at ease and the staff immediately welcomed me and got me settled. So sweet and attentive! You can tell they truly care about their patients. I really appreciated Dr. Kelly's detailed explanation of what he saw and was working in. I felt like I left with a much better understanding on the science behind common problems. It wasn't just a "this is what you need to get done." I couldn't thank them enough for changing my outlook on dentists visits. I really look forward to visiting them again and wish I had found them so much sooner!

Dr. Kelly is professional and personable....something you don't find in most Dr.'s. Dr. Kelly also donates his time and services to the homeless population that suffer from drug and alcohol addiction. I believe this is why Dr. Kelly is so pleasant.....he is a humble man.

Dr. Kelly has been my dentist for over 10 years. First in Harrisburg, Pa and now in Phoenix, Az. I now live in Mexico and come up to Phoenix for a vacation and a dental appointment. One of the best parts about Dr. Kelly is that there is no pain with his work. For me, that is of the utmost imporance. No pain and beautiful teeth. I am a real fan of Dr. Kelly and his work.
