About Dr. James Snow
Dr. James Snow has always been drawn to the care and support of others. Since working in his father’s orthodontic practice as a young boy, he has understood the importance of listening to and understanding the individual needs of patients. Dr. James Snow has been practicing general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry in Encinitas since 1994. He finished his graduate studies at USC School of Dentistry in 1992 and received his CEREC CAD/CAM in 1993. He became board certified in sedation dentistry in 2005.
He is also a member of various prestigious dental associations: American Dental Association®, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society and the Academy of Computerized Dentistry. Furthermore, he has served on the Board of the USC Century Club, is a past board member for the San Diego County Dental Society. He has been a guest lecturer for the UCLA School of Dentistry and the Pacific Coast Study.
Dr. Snow has volunteered his time at the USC Mobile Dental Clinic that provides dental care to the under-privileged in Southern California. He has been a local leader for the Boy Scouts of America since 1994. He enjoys working alongside new volunteers through Share the Care and the clinic at St. Leo’s. Dr. Snow is also a volunteer at the Lestonnac Free Dental Clinic and has performed over $200,000 worth of free dental work, mostly for veterans, at Pacific Dental Center’s annual IV sedation weekend.

My experience was stellar. I broke my tooth on Saturday. They were able to see me Monday and my tooth was fixed on Wednesday. Staff was friendly, efficient and all my questions were answered. Dr Snow listened to me and addressed my concerns. I’ll definitely be back AND will refer.

First impressions are paramount and Dr. Snow and his team did a superb job. From the moment I walked in the door, the receptionist was there to greet me. She was patient while I asked questions about the forms that are normally filled out. The person that took me back for x-rays first introduced me to each office staff and their area of expertise. He knew his job well and made me feel at ease while going through the x-ray process. Right after the x-rays, Dr. Snow immediately sat down with me and explained what each x-ray showed and did a cancer exam. He did not try to upsell my on anything. Professional to a T. My hygienist was gentle but thorough. She let me know what I needed to improve my gum health but was not belittling. She was actually very supportive. Overall, I would say it was a very positive and pleasant experience.

Second time at Pacific Dental Group and the staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Snow showed me what was going to be done, made sure I was doing okay. After the procedures, showed me what the final results. Dental Assistants were very pleasant and made sure I was comfortable.

Overall good experience. However when I got to the office 15 mins early as they had requested, the entire team-minus a couple hygienists, were in a meeting for another 45 mins, which meant I was just waiting for them because no one else was there to check me in. Also submitted all my info online prior to the appointment, but then I had to rewrite all the info on a physical copy for the office.

The staff was all really lovely, and gave clear descriptions on care. Dr. Snow was great, and my dental hygenist Amanda was wonderful. My insurance wasn't accepted however, but I'm choosing to stay with them due to the great experience.
