Dr. Janice Choo grew up surrounded by the sprawling cornfields of Champaign, IL. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before obtaining her dental degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in yet another rural town: Alton, IL. Upon graduating, she came to the city of Chicago to complete her General Practice Residency at the prestigious Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and she fell in love with the city’s restaurants, cafes, and beautiful architecture. The city's charm greatly influenced her decision to settle down here with her husband, and now they're enjoying the big city life together! In her free time, she enjoys golfing, baking, and exploring the city on long walks.
Dr. Choo enjoys equipping her patients with all the tools and education needed to practice good oral hygiene at home. A perfectionist at heart, she takes her time with each patient to ensure that they get the highest quality of care. She is a member of the Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society.

I actually saw a different dentist and he was GREAT. He did a comprehensive exam, as well as my cleaning. He was gentle - I am usually hurt by hygienists so that was appreciated. I will return.

This was by far the best dental visit I had in my entire life! Everyone was so kind and welcoming, from the receptionists to the dentist assistants to the dentists. Literally everyone. I don’t even think I remember feeling anxious for a second as I usually am a little in a place that may be crowded. The lighting did make me feel a little off, but I have been feeling sensitive to light for some reason. I am simply blown away by the teamwork that exists there. I received not one but two dentists’ opinions on my symptoms. As a clinician myself I approve of being a patient here. I’m also blown away by how they were able to diagnose my dental issue and recommend the appropriate treatment plan. Literally no one has been able to figure out what’s going on for almost 2 years. I’ve had some idea of what the issue may be but needed some confirmation. Overall, highly recommend!

Dr. Choo and her entire Staff went above and beyond to take care of an urgent dental appointment for me. Dr. Choo addressed all of my concerns, she made me feel heard, and I didn’t feel judged. She walked me through my treatment plant so I didn’t feel overwhelmed and her staff was super supportive and transparent about the costs of my treatment - which was very affordable compared to the thousands of dollars Ive been charged elsewhere. I’d give this office a million stars if I could!! Definitely recommend 10/10!! Dr. Choo is the best!

Everyone was incredibly kind and considerate the entire time. I was seen quickly, and even though they had some trouble figuring out my insurance, they didn’t let it hold them up and made sure to resolve it quickly and efficiently.
Overall it was a really great visit and I would absolutely recommend this practice!
