About Dr. Jay Howard Samuels

Dr. Samuels is a graduate of the University of Maryland at Baltimore, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Dr. Samuels earned his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1998 and completed his General Practice Residency at Miami Veterans’ Hospital Center in 1999. Dr. Samuels began practicing in the Montgomery County area in 1999. He opened his Rockville, Maryland based practice in 2004 and is licensed to practice dentistry in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Florida. Dr. Samuels enjoys tennis, hockey, music and traveling. Passionate about improving oral health, Dr. Samuels is active in the dental community and in setting standards for dentistry. He is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Sports Dentistry and the Maryland State Dental Association. He has served as President of the Washington, DC Chapter of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, where he has also served as Continuing Education Chair, Treasurer, and Historian. As a student, Dr. Samuels was elected by his peers to serve as International Student Officer on the Executive Board of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, representing all member students throughout the world. Dr. Samuels is passionate about oral health and dental care for all. Dental Insurance Benefits: Regarding insurance, we are happy to submit insurance claims for you. After we submit the claim, the insurance company will reimburse you directly for however much they cover on the treatment you received. Patients pay at the time of service as we are a fee-for-service practice.
