About Dr. Jay Patel

Dr. Patel’s journey began 8,676 miles away, in a city named Morogoro in Tanzania, a country located on the east coast of Africa. He later spent his pre-teen and early teen years in Ndola, Zambia, and then moved for his high school years to London, England. His voyage to the United States took place years later in 1979, where he finished his undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Physiology at Southern Illinois. After finishing school, he got married and has three wonderful children: Jason, Sarina, and Justin. Dr. Patel chose dentistry because he wanted to have the ability to create beautiful and healthy smiles. He loves his profession, which he also describes as his passion. He completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and his residency in Orthodontics at Indiana University. Since then, he continues to attend education courses in orthodontics to keep on top of the latest industry developments. Outside of the office Dr. Patel enjoys to work out, travel, and participate in sports.
