About Dr. Jayashree Thorat
Dr. Jayashree Thorat acquired Langhorne Family Smiles in 2022. She graduated from dental school in India in 1999 and received a dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2020. She continues to pursue her education on a regular basis and has completed a live surgical placement implant course at the California Implant Institute. She is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and provides total dental care under one roof, including root canal therapy, surgical extractions, wisdom teeth removal, Invisalign® treatment and Zoom in-office teeth whitening.
She and her husband have two daughters. Their older daughter is currently attending Columbia College, and their youngest daughter is in high school. She enjoys running, hiking, biking and is currently training for a half marathon. Dentistry has been Dr. Thorat’s passion for over 20 years now, and she looks forward to serving the community with the utmost care and compassion.

Excellent appointment! She was very efficient and also took care to ask me if I experienced any tooth or gum sensitivity and checked in routinely to make sure I wasn't uncomfortable. Bite wings are bite wings but she at least made sure that I didn't have to keep them in for long!

Staff was very friendly and conversational which made you feel at-home in a way as well as the aesthetic of the exterior of the building looking like a house. Dr. Thorat was very informative including showing me the x-rays and talking me through them as well as the work she was doing. I would’ve become a regular patient if the drive wasn’t so out of the way and overall my appointment went very well and Dr. Thorat does amazing work.

Just beware as they will look to upcharge you for appointments. Cancel appointments and make you reschedule on a day that will not work for you. Most of the helpers are new right now and some are even saying they do not like working at this office. Was really worried to go back with hidden charges and trying to do more x-rays than needed.

I came to Dr. Jayashree with a lot of anxiety and hesitation due to horrible, traumatic experiences at my previous dentist. Dentist visits had always been a source of stress, but from the moment I arrived, I felt calm and at ease. I needed an emergency root canal, and Dr. Jayashree’s approach was incredibly efficient—she took care of it immediately. Not only was she skilled, but her kindness, friendliness, and genuine compassion helped me feel safe and cared for. The entire staff was welcoming and professional, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Jayashree and her team to anyone, especially those with dental anxiety or past negative experiences—they’re truly a cut above the rest!
